Some people start detoxing nickel without taking a single supplement. All they changed was their cookware. That's encouraging, because the fix is simple. It's also unsettling. If swapping a few pots is enough to get the body dumping nickel, it shows how much was building up in the first place. Cut the source, and the body starts clearing. Have you swapped any cookware yet? Tell me what changed. #RootCauseMedicine #NickelToxicity #NonToxicKitchen

What if the things we've been told to fear all share a hidden ingredient? Nickel catalysts are used to make some plastics and to hydrogenate fats into trans fats, so traces can end up in the finished product. Microplastics and trans fats get all the headlines. The nickel gets none. I'm not saying they're fine. I'm asking whether nickel is part of the reason they're not. Have you ever heard nickel mentioned in the plastic or trans fat conversation? Tell me below. #RootCauseMedicine #NickelToxicity #HiddenToxins

Take a lap around your kitchen. If it's shiny and silver and you can't find the brand, assume it's stainless steel with nickel. That covers more than pots. Rice cooker inserts, Instant Pots, steamer baskets, colanders, whisks, ladles, mixing bowls, thermoses, measuring cups, even baking sheets. A sheet of parchment paper over the baking sheet is an easy fix. Measuring something dry is fine, though. Nickel needs moisture to move into your food. How many of these are in your kitchen right now? Count them and tell me. #RootCauseMedicine #NickelToxicity #NonToxicKitchen

"Nickel-free" and "no added lead" don't mean what you think they mean. Nickel-free stainless steel just means nickel wasn't intentionally added. Candy companies don't add lead on purpose either, yet lead keeps turning up in some imported candies, including those with chili and tamarind. Regulators have warned about this for years. A label tells you what was put in. It doesn't always tell you what's in there anyway. Did you know about lead in candy? Tell me below. #RootCauseMedicine #HeavyMetalDetox #ReadTheLabel

Scratched-up pans aren't just ugly. They're probably releasing more metal into your food. Five things speed it up: heat, acid, salt, time, and wear and tear. Every scratch and every spot where a protective coating wears through gives more metal a way out. That goes for stainless steel and coated pans alike. Take a look at your oldest pan tonight. Be honest, how scratched is it? Tell me below. #RootCauseMedicine #NonToxicKitchen #NickelToxicity

I wore a white gold ring for 19 years without ever asking what was in it. White gold can contain nickel, or it can contain palladium. Most people never find out which. Now I'd choose a silicone ring. It's cheap, it can't tear your finger off if it catches on something, and if it breaks while you're lifting you just swap in a new one. Do you know what your ring is made of? Tell me below. #RootCauseMedicine #NickelToxicity #SiliconeRing

In college, the nonstick coating on my grill started flaking off. It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out where it went. I'd been eating it. Metal cookware does something similar, just less visibly. A bit of it ends up in your food every time. Cast iron was once used to help raise people's iron, so if you already have iron overload, cooking on it is working against you. No cookware is zero-exposure. You're choosing which exposure fits your body. What are you cooking on right now? Tell me below. #RootCauseMedicine #IronOverload #NonToxicKitchen

"Nickel-free" doesn't mean "metal-free." Whatever your pot is made of, some of it ends up in your food. Iron pans release iron. Titanium releases titanium. Nickel-free stainless steel still releases chromium. This isn't meant to scare you. It just means every cookware choice is a tradeoff, and nickel is the one worth avoiding first. Which metal are you most comfortable cooking with? Tell me below. #RootCauseMedicine #NonToxicKitchen #NickelToxicity

Tobacco demand has dropped, and it's hurting farmers. So researchers are looking for new uses for the crop. One idea is using it as a natural pesticide, because of its nicotine content. Nicotine is toxic enough to be worth selling as a bug killer. Keep that in mind the next time nicotine gets marketed as a wellness tool. Did you know nicotine was being studied as a pesticide? Tell me below. #RootCauseMedicine #NicotineTruth #PesticideTruth

Niacin is called nicotinic acid for a reason. It was first made by oxidizing nicotine, back when demand for nicotine drove interest in extracting and measuring it. So two things with very different effects on the body share a name and a chemical history. One you need to survive. The other you don't. Did you know niacin and nicotine were related? Tell me below. #RootCauseMedicine #Niacin #NicotinicAcid

Your body spends enormous energy keeping zinc and iron on a leash. That should tell you something. Both minerals are essential, and both have whole systems of binding proteins that grab them and hold them in check. The body doesn't build that much security around something harmless. Too much zinc can be toxic. Too much iron can be toxic. "Essential" never meant "the more the better." Have you ever taken a mineral for months without checking your levels? Tell me below. #RootCauseMedicine #ZincToxicity #MineralBalance

The same compound used to strip minerals out of the body is also an additive in your food. EDTA is labeled "low toxicity," but older lab studies found it can alter chromosome structure in plant and animal cells. Those studies reported weak mutagenic activity on its own, and it appeared to amplify the damage caused by other mutagens. Toxins don't act alone. Check your labels for "calcium disodium EDTA." Did you find it somewhere you didn't expect? Tell me below. #RootCauseMedicine #FoodAdditives #EDTA

A chelator that can't even enter a cell still managed to drain zinc from inside neurons. Researchers used calcium EDTA outside nerve cells, in living animals and in lab dishes, intending only to bind zinc outside the cell. Zinc inside the cells dropped fast, and it fell in the brain too. So much for a targeted detox. Zinc is what your body uses to detox copper and nickel, so losing it works against the goal. Did anyone ever test your zinc before recommending a chelator? Tell me below. #RootCauseMedicine #ChelationTruth #ZincDeficiency

"Chelation" sounds like a precision strike on heavy metals. It's closer to a claw machine that grabs whatever it touches first. EDTA doesn't know good minerals from bad ones. Drug information sites list low potassium and low magnesium as known effects, and those are two of the minerals that can make you feel better fastest when you get them right. A "detox" that strips them out can leave you feeling worse. Have you ever felt worse after starting a detox? Tell me below. #RootCauseMedicine #HeavyMetalDetox #ChelationTruth

Ivermectin is an insecticide. So is nicotine. And somehow "take more pesticides for your health" became a trend. The difference between you and a bug is dose. It takes far less to kill an insect, but most of these compounds are fat soluble, which means they can build up in your tissues over time. Before you add anything to your routine, ask what it was originally made to do. What's the strangest thing you've been told to take for your health? Tell me below. #RootCauseMedicine #PesticideTruth #SupplementMyths

Your body makes its own retinoids, converting beta-carotene into retinol and then into retinoic acid. When that process is overloaded, liver damage can follow. A published hypothesis paper proposed that toxic levels of these internally produced retinoids may play a role in how COVID-19 disease develops. It's a hypothesis, not a proven cause, but it came from a researcher who spent years documenting how many conditions resemble vitamin A toxicity. Garrett's whole framework is built on the shoulders of two men who started asking that question decades ago. Had you ever heard of the low vitamin A idea before following him? Tell me below. #RootCauseMedicine #VitaminAtoxicity #ResearchDeepDive

Researchers have pointed out that part of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein resembles a region found in snake venom neurotoxins. It's a hypothesis from the published literature, not settled science, but it raises a fair question about how much of what we call "viral illness" involves toxin-like effects on the nervous system. Did your symptoms ever feel more neurological than respiratory? Tell me below. #RootCauseMedicine #NicotinicReceptors #ResearchDeepDive

Here's a question nobody seems able to answer cleanly. The receptors in your body are called nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, named after nicotinic acid, which is niacin. Yet the official line is that niacin doesn't bind to them, only nicotine does. Your body needs niacin to survive. It doesn't need nicotine. So why name a receptor after something it supposedly has no relationship with? Curious what you think. Coincidence, or a clue we're overlooking? #RootCauseMedicine #Niacin #NicotinicAcid

If terrorists were hiding in your own city, would you nuke the whole thing to get them? Obviously not, you'd destroy the very people you're trying to save. That's basically the approach a lot of Lyme literate practitioners take. Heavy antibiotic protocols wipe out your gut biome along with the target, and some of the herbal or pharmaceutical approaches used alongside them actually slow down your body's own detox pathways. You end up doing more collateral damage to your own system than the infection was doing. #RootCauseMedicine #LymeDisease #GutHealth

211,000 views on a video about dogs drinking from stainless steel bowls, and the comments were furious. "My dog lived to 16 drinking out of stainless steel, this guy's a grifter." That's survivorship bias. One dog living to 16 doesn't mean the bowl was safe for every dog, it means that dog survived it. The same pattern shows up in families sometimes, the oldest kid tends to be the healthiest, and each following kid gets sicker because the mother's toxic load kept building with each pregnancy. Doesn't happen in every family, but it's common enough to notice. One example surviving something doesn't prove it's safe. #RootCauseMedicine #NickelToxicity #SurvivorshipBias

Doctors in the 70s and 80s said people shouldn't get sick from the amount of vitamin A supplement being sold back then. Yet more people are getting sick from it now. Something changed. Nickel exposure has climbed for decades, more stainless steel, more piercings, more orthodontics, more metal implants, and nickel slows down how your body clears vitamin A. So doses that were fine 60 years ago are causing problems now, and that toxic load gets passed down to the next generation before they've even had a chance. This is worth understanding before writing off a whole generation as "just not resilient." #RootCauseMedicine #VitaminAtoxicity #NickelToxicity

Ever wonder why ancient dietary law specifically singled out fish with scales as the ones you could eat? Shellfish can't detox at all, they have no way to filter toxins through a hard shell. Fish without scales are thought to lack that same detox pathway through the skin. Pigs also can't detox through their skin. Line those up against biblical dietary rules and you get a strange pattern, the animals allowed were the ones actually capable of clearing toxins, and the ones excluded weren't. Whether or not you take it as scripture, the pattern is worth noticing. #RootCauseMedicine #ToxicityAwareness #FoodPatterns

Predators eating the liver first isn't proof it's the most nutritious part. It might just be proof they're not that smart. Documented reports on Greenland describe the liver of husky dogs, fox, polar bear, and bearded seal, plus meat from Arctic shark, as poisonous and inedible. Animals eat these organs anyway and get sick or die. That's not wisdom, that's an animal without the ability to test for toxicity before it eats. We don't need to look to wild animals, or to how people lived in mud huts, for nutritional guidance. We have actual science now. #RootCauseMedicine #VitaminAtoxicity #AncestralMyths

You'd think an animal living in one of the most untouched environments on Earth would be the picture of health. Not even close. Research from the 1940s and 50s documented polar bears with multiple healed fractures, cavities, jaw swelling, bone growths, and arthritis that was common rather than rare. These animals live in the Arctic. Their main exposure is what comes from the ocean. If wild polar bears are showing this level of skeletal breakdown from eating ocean based food, it's worth asking what that same source is doing to the rest of us. #RootCauseMedicine #ToxicityAwareness #SeafoodToxins

Indigenous Arctic communities knew polar bear liver was dangerous long before anyone had a name for vitamin A toxicity. They wouldn't even let their own dogs eat it, they'd throw it into the sea to keep it away from them. Stories describe dogs and even chickens dying after eating liver from certain animals. One account describes a man whose skin turned completely white after eating liver as a young man, something people at the time connected directly back to that meal. This wasn't a modern discovery. People figured this out generations before we had the science to explain why. #RootCauseMedicine #VitaminAtoxicity #AncestralWisdom

What if one metal is quietly slowing down your detox of everything else? Nickel inhibits the cytochrome P450 system, the pathway responsible for clearing pesticides, PCBs, and other organic toxins. If that system is bottlenecked, it's not just nickel building up, it's everything else too. Which raises the real question, does it even matter what order you try to detox toxic metals in if nickel is jamming the whole system from the start? #RootCauseMedicine #NickelToxicity #DetoxOrder

Line up the symptoms of nickel toxicity and vitamin A toxicity side by side and you're basically looking at the disease list for modern chronic illness. So why doesn't conventional medicine investigate that connection for things like heart disease and cancer? Because it makes them accountable. Admitting toxicity is driving these diseases means admitting the system hasn't protected people, in some cases made things worse. That's the same reason a doctor insists your symptoms couldn't possibly be the medication you started a week ago, or a gastroenterologist tells you food has nothing to do with your gut issues when you already know it does. Ever been told your symptoms "couldn't possibly" be connected to something obvious? Tell me below. #RootCauseMedicine #ToxicityAwareness #MedicalGaslighting

Non-organic muscle meat is actually a safer bet than non-organic dairy. Cows concentrate fat soluble toxins and nickel straight into their milk, which makes dairy one of the riskier non-organic choices out there. But the real fix isn't panicking over every glass of milk, it's dose. Eat less dairy and less added fat overall, and the toxin load stops being something you need to obsess over. Do you eat a lot of dairy, or barely any? #RootCauseMedicine #NickelToxicity #FoodMyths

I've personally relaxed some of my own rules around organic, and even the strict carnivore crowd eating steak two or three times a day has started backing off "grass fed and organic always." Here's why. Muscle meat is generally the least toxic food you can eat when it comes to accumulating toxins. It's also become one of the most expensive things at the grocery store. Organs are a different story, if you're eating those, spend the money there. But muscle meat, don't let the organic price tag stop you from feeding yourself or your kids. Have you eased up on any food rules once you actually looked at the research? #RootCauseMedicine #FoodMyths #EatRealFood

Bodybuilders have been eating a low nickel diet this whole time without even trying. Red meat and rice. Chicken and rice. Eggs and rice. All three staples happen to avoid the nickel-heavy foods most people eat daily. Even the rice choice matters. Jasmine white rice from Thailand tests lowest for arsenic, Lotus Foods is a solid option if you want it done for you. Look around. Most people aren't lean or muscular, and they're loaded with nickel. That's not a coincidence anymore. #RootCauseMedicine #NickelToxicity #LowNickelDiet
