Leviticus has got me in a chokehold #Leviticus #leviticusmoviedit #NeonMovies ##Edit #naimreid #ryanwhelan

I know this edit is longer and unfinished, but I’m choosing to post it anyway. I’ve been seeing a lot of comments and videos saying that editors who post unfinished edits “shouldn’t be editors,” and honestly, I think that misses the entire point of art. Editing and videography are forms of art. Art is expression, and the artist gets to decide how, when, and why they share what they create. Nobody gets to tell someone that they shouldn’t create, shouldn’t share, or aren’t an artist because their work doesn’t meet someone else’s idea of what it should look like. And honestly, I think there’s something fitting about that lesson alongside Leviticus. Naim and Ryan’s story is, in so many ways, about being told who they’re supposed to be, what they’re supposed to feel, and how they’re supposed to live. There’s something powerful about choosing to express yourself anyway even when other people think they have the right to decide what that expression should look like. So yes, it’s unfinished. I still love it. And that’s enough reason for me to share it. Art doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. Keep an eye out for a finished edit as I continue learning Davinci Resolve. #Leviticus #leviticusmoviedit #NeonMovies #Edit #naimreid #ryanwhelan

"I was never scared of this Naim" :: I often times find myself curious about what Ryan had experienced before Naim and Ryan actually understood what was happening to them. Learning Davinci Resolve! Still got alot to learn, but I'm going through the process of reworking my previous edits to hopefully gradually improve as I go. #Leviticus #leviticusmoviedit #NeonMovies #naimreid #ryanwhelan
