(long caption warning) i first figured out i liked girls when i was 13. there had always been this part of me that sort of knew and it had always been there but i didn’t want to voice the thought. i spent so long repressing it and trying to force myself into norms i didn’t fit into. it sucked having to portray myself as something i wasn’t so my mom wouldn’t hate me. i finally started coming to terms with it when i was 15 and had a crush on my classmate but didn’t know what it was. it was so scary, i was so confused and didn’t know what this feeling was. there were so many nights where i wished i could be mormal like everyone else. my mom ended up not taking the news very well and constantly told me “well you haven’t done __ so how can you like girls” or made comments she didn’t think were homophobic but are. i’ve lost friends due to it and have had ppl say stuff to my friends about it. thanks to my bestest friend and someone i consider my older sister i realized i WAS normal and it WAS okay to feel the way i did. i’m now so comfortable and proud of who i am. im sharing this because i think it’s important to be vulnerable and share things even if it’s scary. to everyone going through what i did: i see you. i understand you. i love you and most importantly im proud of you. i hope that me sharing my story inspires at least one of you and i hope you know you aren’t alone. if i can be what elise was to me for one person id be so happy. i’m always here if you need anything no matter what. happy pride month 💓💓💓 #nhl #pridemonth #bisexual #edit #fyp — dt: @elly ⚜️ @maryam @₇₇𝓔𝓼𝓶𝓮⁵³ @₈₁tea⁹³ @₂₉rory⁹³ @Lulu @isa @mads 𑣿 @soph ✭ @jacks @nas🌼 @✭Baylie✭ @kay
