🥂 We welcomed a fantastic turnout of members to Kings Place, London, on 21 October for a special AGM marking the Association’s 50th anniversary. The event brought members together for industry updates, networking, a sit-down lunch, economic insights from Roger Martin-Fagg, and a keynote and Q&A with special guest Clive Myrie. The day received overwhelmingly positive feedback from members and was particularly significant as Peter Heath’s final AGM as Managing Director, ahead of his semi-retirement. 💙 A memorable occasion celebrating PLASA’s achievements, its members, and 50 years of supporting the industry. Every year, our headline sponsor, Robe, brings something spectacular to the PLASA Show floor, and 2026 was no exception! 🤩 This year’s live production, 'A World Beyond Reflection – Where Light Reveals All', transported audiences into a hyper-stylised, high-tech world exploring the tension between AI and human creativity. 🥁 At its heart was an incredible live 10-piece drum and brass band, taking audiences through a high-energy mix of music, performance and lighting. And, of course, there was plenty of tech. 👀 Around 200 Robe fixtures were integrated into the production, showcasing new launches alongside GigaPointes, Arianne 2 and Arianne 6, Tetra2, iFORTE LTX, iESPRITE LTM, PAINTE LTL, iBOLT, WTF! and Footsie fixtures – demonstrating their capabilities in a full live-show environment. 🌱 At this year’s PLASA Show, we hosted a Sustainability Breakfast, bringing together PLASA members who have been engaging with sustainability activities across the Association. The group included Carbon Reduction Commitment participants, attendees of our monthly webinar series, steering group members and others involved in our initiatives – all coming together in person as part of PLASA’s growing sustainability community. 🤝 With no formal agenda, the morning was all about catching up, making new connections, exchanging experiences and discussing some of the challenges and opportunities facing our industry. 💡 We were delighted with how well it was received, with plenty of conversation around the tables, and lots for us to take forward as we continue developing PLASA’s sustainability work. Thank you to everyone who joined us! 🙌

The PLASA Lab, in action.💡 New for PLASA Show 2026, The PLASA Lab created a dedicated space for visitors to experience lighting fixtures side by side, with brands initially kept hidden so the focus stayed firmly on the technology, performance and experience. 👀 Each session ended with the big reveal, followed by the chance to get hands-on with the products. Launching a completely new show feature takes a lot of people behind the scenes, so we wanted to say a special thank you to everyone who helped make the first PLASA Lab happen. Thank you to James Simpson of Copper Candle, Chris West of West Training, and the fantastic students who helped before and throughout the show to keep everything running smoothly. 🙌 And of course, thank you to all the participating brands and everyone who joined us in the Lab, asked questions, explored the fixtures and embraced a different way of experiencing the technology. 🏆 And the winners are… The PLASA Awards for Innovation 2026 celebrated some of the most forward-thinking technology across the entertainment industry at PLASA Show this week.
