A little rundown of all the personal protection equipment I use when making a prosthetic socket. It might seem like a lot but I’m very grateful for every piece of it keeping me safe everyday! 1. I have wanted to try skiing again to a long time but I finally took the plunge after seeing the amazing work by Disability Snow Sports during our snow day for Dorset Ortho clients a few weeks ago. I was actually surprised how much came back to me, despite it being a *very* long time since I was last on ski’s. Fun fact: I actually only became a Prosthetic Technician after being dumped 🥲 At the time it felt like my entire world was ending and I decided I needed something to focus on. And it turns out moving to a new city and starting a new career is a great way to do that.
