Tricks most cyclists never tell you about. How many have you seen before? 1. Grab a small piece of paper and place it against the bike chain. Add a little chain lubricant, then slowly spin the chain. The paper helps pull out the grime hiding between the links. 2. Most people apply lubricant this way, but there's another approach remove the bottom bracket and lubricate the inside directly. It can make the job much quicker and easier. 3. Take two old keys you don't use anymore and cure them together. They can work surprisingly well for scraping dirt from a bike chain. I definitely want to test this one. 4. If your brake cable starts fraying, don't panic. Wrap a zip tie around the damaged section and keep twisting it tightly. Then carefully heat the zip tie so it shrinks and locks everything in place. 5. Got a broken spoke? Grab some pliers and bend the two loose ends toward each other. Secure. Secure them tightly with a zip tie and it can hold the spoke together for a long time. 6. Worried about someone taking your bike? Try attaching a wrench to the wheel and securing it with a padlock. It creates a simple extra obstacle for anyone trying to ride away with it. 7. Need to get your seat perfectly level. Place a bottle with a level marking across the seat, then adjust the saddle little by little until the line is straight. Pretty simple, right? Which of These bike tricks, would you actually try give them a shot and see what works for you?
