🇺🇸 OOTD: Grumpy Old Veteran Edition! 😂🫡 My Buc-ee’s shirt says “I Do What I Want,” and honestly, that’s a whole mood! 😂 Had to get it from the MEN’S section because why is it so hard to find good veteran apparel for women?! 🤦‍♀️ Paired it with camouflage pants from Alloy Apparel that are actually LONG enough for my 6-foot frame 🙌 but fit more like pajama pants than actual pants. 🤣 And shoes? Nope! Just flip-flops because this girl likes to keep her feet free! 🩴😂 Comfortable, casual, a little grumpy, and doing exactly what I want! 🇺🇸💚 #VeteranStyle #OOTD #TallGirlFashion #Bucees #CasualStyle

15 years together this month! @millertime

We are without power and already had to go move a tree with @millertime ‘s tractor so @JD could get home from work and the eye is still three hours away. The trees are blowing around and it’s scary already. Luckily we have our power banks so we can watch the news. @Sophie/Sophia #hurricane #isaias

🔋🎶 We love having our Jackery portable power station ready for power outages, but we discovered another AMAZING use for it! 🎉 When we needed music on our parade float, our Jackery came to the rescue! 🙌 It powered our music effortlessly throughout the entire parade and STILL had plenty of power left when we finished! 🎵💪 Talk about versatility! Whether it’s keeping us prepared at home or powering the fun on the go, this is one piece of equipment we’re glad to have! ❤️🔌 #Jackery #PortablePowerStation #ParadeFloat #EmergencyPreparedness #PowerOnTheGo

🚨 Online shopping reality check 🚨 They’ll make an item look SO good in the ad that you’re convinced you’re getting the real deal… and then they price it like the real deal, too. 😩 I bought what looked like a cute, authentic varsity-style sweater for around $50. At that price, I figured it HAD to be decent quality. Then it arrived. 🫠 The material was cheap and weird, it didn’t fit or hang anything like the picture, and the letters that looked like they were actually sewn/appliquéd on? Nope. They were just sublimated onto the fabric. 🤦‍♀️ Honestly, if I saw this thing in person, I probably wouldn’t pay $10 for it. But online, the pictures + the price made it LOOK credible. Friendly reminder: A high price does NOT automatically mean high quality. Sometimes you’re just paying $50 for something that looks like it came from a $10 bargain bin. 😭 #OnlineShopping #BuyerBeware #ShoppingFail #TikTokMadeMeBuyIt #OnlineShoppingFails

Went to McDonald’s to grab my lunch for my professional development day because my job reimburses me up to $20. 🙌 I got a Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal, SUPER SIZED it, changed my drink to a special drink, AND added two different coffees… 😂☕️☕️ And somehow I STILL only spent $16! 👏🍔🍟 Now THAT is how you maximize a $20 lunch reimbursement! 😂 #McDonalds #LunchOnTheGo #ProfessionalDevelopment #Under20 #TikTokMadeMeBuyIt

Welcome to my Airbnb! 😂🏡 Today we’re going to do a little post-checkout inspection and see how the guests left the place… And let me just say… I have QUESTIONS. 😳😂 The dishes. The mess. The random stuff everywhere. The absolute disrespect for the property. 🤦‍♀️🤣 Meanwhile, this is literally the house I LIVE IN with my family. 😂😂😂 I’m just pretending I’m an Airbnb host walking in after the guests checked out because sometimes you have to laugh at the chaos you live in. And after all the recent drama surrounding Airbnb creators making content about their rentals, I figured I might as well make my own contribution… without actually blaming any guests. 😂 Airbnb hosts, you know EXACTLY what that post-checkout walk-through feels like. 👀 #AirbnbHost #AirbnbHumor #AirbnbLife #HostLife #ShortTermRental

Replying to @user2221268455569 Have you ever heard the story of Watts Murphy in Butler County, Alabama? In April 1895, Watts Murphy, a young white farmer and nephew of former Alabama Governor Thomas H. Watts, disappeared near Butler Springs. His disappearance quickly became an accusation of murder against Black people who were working in the area. Five Black people — John Rattler, Zeb Colley, Martha Greene, Alice Greene and Mary Deane — were arrested and accused of killing Watts Murphy. Before they could ever stand trial, an armed mob (supposedly) intercepted the group transporting them to jail and lynched all five. Contemporary newspapers reported the horrific allegation that Murphy had been murdered and that his body had been burned in a brush pile. But there is another part of this story that deserves attention. The Greenville Advocate later reported on a skeleton that people believed might be the remains of King Murphy. And here’s the important part: King Murphy was Watts Murphy’s brother — and King was still alive. That raises a huge historical question: If the remains were being mistaken for King Murphy, what happened to Watts Murphy? There are later accounts suggesting that remains believed to be connected to the case raised serious questions about the original story, including the possibility that Watts Murphy’s death may have been accidental. But I have not found enough surviving documentation to state that as an established fact. What we DO know is that five Black people were killed by a mob without a trial based on accusations surrounding Watts Murphy’s disappearance. The historical record itself contains questions and contradictions that deserve to be examined. Five lives were taken. (And a sixth later) No trial was held. And more than 130 years later, we’re still asking what really happened to Watts Murphy. Sometimes history isn’t as simple as the story that was first told. #AlabamaHistory #ButlerCountyAlabama #BlackHistory #LynchingInAmerica #HiddenHistory

I was on my way to work a few days ago when I saw the #cutest #foxes just hanging out near the road. Of course I had to turn around and get a quick video! When I turned back around again to head to work they were still there, so I got more video. They were so stinking cute! 🥰 I think having a silent #electric #vehicle helped keep them from being afraid. The noise in the video is just a from a stock sound, not my actual vehicle.

Before there was #buccees there was Priester’s Pecans, and they have so much to choose from. #clothes #candy #gifts And I hear it’s a fun place to work as well. Everyone seems so happy and nice.

Butler County Alabama- They lynched six people for a murder that never happened. The body was found on the property the following spring but they pretended not to know whose body it was and flatly denied it was his. I would think if another man dressed in wealthy clothes had disappeared in the area they would have known. #truecrime #lynchinginamerica #netflix #documentaries
