Sheffield 2024 champion Gustav Hedlund returns to the Sheffield stage for what promises to be the heaviest 93kg battle in Sheffield history. The Swede holds the second-heaviest total ever recorded in the IPF 93kg class at 921kg, behind current world champion Will Ball, with 930kg. Joining them is Algeria’s Aimene Nouari, who added 35kg to his total between the 2025 and 2026 world championships, finishing just shy of 900kg in Lithuania. Zuzanna Mazur is the youngest athlete to ever total 600kg or more in the 76kg class. Her 602.5kg total at IPF worlds in June was a 16kg personal best, and saw the 20 year old enter an elite group of only five 76kg competitors to exceed the 600kg mark, first achieved by Karlina Tongotea in 2022. Will Mazur continue to progress, and could she threaten the world record total of 628.5kg on November 21? Get your tickets now at sbdapparel.com/sheffield

Can the returning champion go back-to-back? Factually, he could. Rondel Hunte enters Sheffield V holding the 120kg world record at 1,000kg. If he matches his personal best of 1,045kg, that’s a 4.5% increase. In order for Austin Perkins to beat Hunte, he would need a total of at least 932kg. But one missed lift from Hunte - who will be taking considerably larger jumps in attempts, could be all Perkins needs. Can Perkins apply enough pressure and push Hunte to his limits?
