Episode 7 — Less Is More This one hurt my ego… and saved my future. Manly Street started as a seven-storey vision. Big plans. Big statements. Big ambition. And then reality tapped me on the shoulder. We stripped it back to three storeys. No crane. No sprinklers. No basement. And just like that — millions saved, not cut. Here’s what most developers get wrong: They go big too early. They don’t factor interest costs, holding costs, consultants, compliance, time delays. They chase scale before they’ve mastered efficiency. Seven storeys looks sexy on paper. But if you don’t have the pre-sales, the margin, and the runway — that same dream can bury you. Deals don’t fail because people think small. They fail because people ignore overhead. This project taught me something brutal and beautiful: Profit lives in restraint. Strength lives in simplicity. And sometimes the smartest move… is not building higher — but building wiser. Less ego. Less risk. More control. More longevity. Less is more. #melbourne #construction #melbbuilder #builder #property

EPISODE 6 — Chasing the Impossible This part of the story is where the dream stops being just an idea… and becomes a blueprint, a site meeting, a cost plan, and a thousand late-night decisions. I’m building something bigger than myself — an office tower. Not a renovation. Not a townhouse. A landmark. Every step is a new challenge: architects, engineers, approvals, setbacks, redesigns, budgets blowing out — and somehow still holding the vision steady through the chaos. There’s a point in life where you realise: Nobody is coming to save you. Nobody is going to hand you your future. If you want the impossible — you build it. Brick by brick. Call by call. Day after day. This episode isn’t just about construction — it’s about belief. The kind of belief that survives doubt… delays… fear… and the people who quietly hope you fail. Because greatness isn’t luck — it’s a relentless refusal to stop. #melb #melbourne #commercialbuilder #construction #building

This one wasn’t fun. I finished a major project, delivered everything, and the developer refused the final payment. Not because the work wasn’t done — but because they knew exactly how to play the system. Defect list after defect list. Lawyers ready. Contract loopholes locked tight. This tactic has a name in the industry — “The Lindsay Fox Move.” Delay. Dispute. Pressure. Wait for the builder to break, because most do. This episode isn’t about complaining… it’s about awareness. Because behind the cranes, drawings, and site meetings — there’s a darker side no one warns you about. If you’re in construction, development, or thinking about building — learn from this. 🛠 Always protect your contracts. 🛠 Don’t start without airtight legal structure. 🛠 And never assume a handshake means loyalty. Respect to the builders who’ve been through this — and survived. #melbourne #melb #building #commercialbuilder #construction

Saf was one of the most honest, respectful, hardworking trades just trying to make enough to support his family. A job that should of cost thousands cost me $500…DM for details. #fyp #reel #roofrepair #melbourne #construction

there is a lot of good renderers in Melbourne, but there’s also a lot of butchers that cut corners. I’ve been in this industry for over 15 years and Wasim I’ve always stuck with because of his quality of workmanship. #melbourne #building #constructio #building
