They barely survived their first Games and stood no chance a second time. Joan had no arm, Augustus lived on a cane, service dog, and one working eye. ✶ When the rebels had asked for their hand, it was an immediate no. Not because they had everything to lose, but because they'd already lost everything to even see the point in fighting. •••• District 9 never lasted long. 【 ‘𝓉il 𝓈ummer 】 ↳ 🩻 marnie mcnamara , october pagelin my fav cousins back in the day there was a time before the twins were mcs and the band existed and RUINED EVERYTHING (joke kinda), these two were the real ones, they’re so sitcom coded mini lore drop - after the divorce, october moved to california to live with family aka his aunt!! His aunt is marnie’s mom!! - marnie’s mom sybil and october’s dad henry are siblings - marnie’s parents are divorced but she still has her birth dad’s last name - (NOW in the case of band au, stephen mcnamara is evil but not deathly evil like in the mcnamara trials. He has nothing to do with october in this universe god bless) - everyone in the goddamn pagelin family is divorced - sybil got remarried to arthur knox who has been there since marnie was 8 and he’s great, they’re happy and dandy marnie stuff specifically ! - her name’s actually sadie; sadie marlene mcnamara - she’s a middle name warrior, she switched to marnie (short for marlene) in middle school bc she thought an old lady name suited her better LMAO - marnie was already a childhood nickname for her though because of halloweentown - baddie with a bs!! besides august, she is the only other named engineering major at rutherford - october had culture shock when he moved fr - marnie still calls october “toby” bc that’s what her mom calls him, but literally no one calls him that anymore and hasn’t since he was 10 - marnie is unlabeled in every way possible - she wears the men’s uniform and ppl hate on her but literally she’s just having fun - her hair grows so slow bc she went blonde once in middle school and it still hasn’t went away, she cut it as short as she could without going bald but she actually likes it with the brown - her teeth is rlly crooked with gaps i love it - she rollerblades, she really wants to do roller derby but can’t find any place to play (that actually doesn’t make sense bc they’re in socal) - she really likes snow cones, she makes one like everyday after school like do you know that tv infomercial slushie cup that you keep in the freezer and then when you squeeze it, it makes a slushie, yeah yeah I luv marnie and october, they’re both hella smart and basically trauma bonded siblings ────୨ৎ──── ib princessoftommen pc&cc (edited) selfcontr8l overlay 4elcuu #oc #originalcharacter #originalstoryy #bandoc #bandau moodboard superman supergirl edit fyp foryou ────୨ৎ──── @ᶻ 𝘇 𐰁 ᴇᴘᴘᴇʟɪɴ ₊ ⊹ @chuu .ᐟ.ᐟ @ᴷlyn. ✚ @chels @lovett @sofia 𖦹˚⋆ @weirdloser @𝐾𝑎𝑡𝑦 .✦🦭 @birdie @𝓢tar 🪽

【 ‘𝓉il 𝓈ummer 】 ↳ 💐 wyn fleur brisben , maysie pagelin this one goes out to all my depressed girls in healthy relationships do we fw 60fps idk… ────୨ৎ──── ℰdit 𝓉ranscript : ────୨ৎ──── “ For a girl who has everything , You have a lot to complain about . ” •••• “ I sometimes wish something bad would happen, so I’d have a real reason to feel the way I feel . ” People really did think that was the source of it all; the sadness. The way Wyn moved through life like an outlet halfway detached. “ Birdy's depressed because she's secretly in love with a girl, as if that was the tragedy . ” Like if she could just be openly in love with Maysie, everything would suddenly become better. Wyn knew something nobody else seemed to understand—she could have Maysie completely and still wake up wanting to disappear. Love wasn't a cure. It just made leaving hurt more. •••• [ MAYSIE ] “You’re high. Since when do you get high?” •••• [ MAYSIE ] “(…) Because I love you more than you hate yourself.” [ WYN ] “Easy for you to say. You still want to be here.” [ MAYSIE ] “No, Wyn. I just want you here.” •••• [ MAYSIE ] “I begged. I begged you to let me help you.” [ WYN ] “I didn’t want you to see me like this.” [ MAYSIE ] “I see you anyway. I always see you.” •••• [ MAYSIE ] “I’ll give it back, I’m seeing you later anyway.” [ WYN ] “Promise me? It’s my favorite.” MAYSIE laughed softly. “You're not going anywhere.” [ MAYSIE ] “You okay?” [ WYN ] “Yeah. I think I finally am.” If she wrote to Maysie, she knew she would've stopped and Wyn simply couldn't handle anymore. They found her in the bathroom before dawn. — • end • — ────୨ৎ──── pc sweetlydevoted cc (edited) selfcontr8l overlay 4elcuu #oc #originalcharacter #originalstory #youseemprettysadforagirlsoinlove #bandoc moodboard edit fyp foryou ────୨ৎ──── @ᶻ 𝘇 𐰁 ᴇᴘᴘᴇʟɪɴ ₊ ⊹ @chuu .ᐟ.ᐟ @ᴷlyn. ✚ @chels @lovett @sofia 𖦹˚⋆ @weirdloser @𝐾𝑎𝑡𝑦 .✦🦭 @birdie @𝓢tar 🪽

【 1st 𝒬uarter Quell 】 ↳ District ⁹ 🌾 avena ðiền , zzyxzz vaude , roake bramble (12th) I had more writing going in depth abt the voting and how ableism runs through district 9 and just the farming districts in general but I couldn’t deal with formatting with giant blurbs of text so… maybe one day ────୨ৎ──── ℰdit 𝒯ranscript : ────୨ৎ──── (this is just the stuff in the edit and not the intro bc too much text) ❝ District 9’s losing dogs ❞ And suddenly Roake understood something terrible, those children had more courage than he ever had. They walked toward death unwanted. He’d run toward it begging to be seen. Two unwanted children District 9 offered up like spoiled fertilizer so the healthy crop could survive winter. — • ✶ • — No cannon. No anthem. Just silence and paperwork. Avena Dien died before ever seeing the arena. District 9’s escort complained more about light cues and outfits for two, than the dead child. — • ✶ • — The Bloodbath lasted nine minutes. Zzyxzz died in the first forty seconds. The cameras barely lingered. One commentator snickered afterward, “Well, I suppose that’s the… last word for poor Zzyxzz!” The Capitol audience laughed. Roake didn’t understand the joke until another mentor explained it between drinks. A medicine salesman from before the Dark Days created the word; named a health resort “Zzyzx”, bottling the spring’s water for thirsty travelers and even bringing in a zoo to attract visitors. All because he wanted “the last word in medicine.” Funny, they said. Zzyxzz Vaude. Alphabetically the last tribute forever, immortalized at the bottom.
