So many hours, layers, doubts, discoveries, and moments of pure joy. Seeing these selected works together reminds me why I paint, again and again. Grateful for everyone who followed, supported, and shared this year with me 💛

Work in progress on a commissioned family portrait. The baby’s face is still taking shape, always a delicate part to capture. So far, so good! #pencilportrait #familyportrait #wip #portraitartist #commissionart #realisticdrawing #artistatwork #drawingprocess #babyportrait #artinprogress

Another little adventure in intuitive printmaking! No planning, just colors, shapes, and the surprise of the final reveal. That’s what makes it so much fun! #IntuitivePrintmaking #GelliPrinting #GelPlatePrinting #MixedMediaArt #ExperimentalPrintmaking

A little experiment in my studio today! Posca markers, acrylic paint, a gelly plate, and handmade paper. Just playing with colors and imaginary symbols, with no idea how it would turn out. I think I’ll be experimenting with this technique some more! #GellyPrinting #MixedMediaArt #IntuitiveArt #ArtProcess #modernart

A little paper, a little paint… and a lot of sunflowers. 🌻 I started with collage, added layers of acrylic, and let some of those fun little paper details keep peeking through. Messy, colorful, and exactly how I like it. 😊 #MixedMediaArt #SunflowerArt #CollageArt #ContemporaryArt #ArtProcess

From design to reality! 🎾 I created this logo for our Volley Girls tennis team, and here’s the journey from the original artwork to the finished T-shirts. So much fun seeing my design come to life! #LogoDesign #GraphicDesign #TennisArt #NinjaTransfers #CreativeProcess

We hear so much about the side effects of Ozempic, but much less about the health risks associated with obesity itself. These numbers are not perfectly apples-to-apples, but seeing them side by side gave me a different perspective. Medication has risks, but so does leaving obesity and its related health problems untreated. Not medical advice, just something I found interesting and worth discussing. #Ozempic #Semaglutide #Obesity #HealthDiscussion #WeightLoss

So happy to finally have this in my hands! My painting A Piece of My World has been published in The Best of Acrylic 124, presented by Artists Magazine and American Artist. (There is a small typo in the publication, the title appears as A Piece of My Worlds, but the original title is A Piece of My World.) It’s such a special feeling to see my work on these pages alongside so many wonderful artists. Very grateful to be included in this beautiful publication. The original painting is currently on view at Thomas Architecture Studios in downtown Olympia and will remain there through the end of October. #BestOfAcrylic #ArtistsMagazine #AcrylicPainting #ContemporaryArt #PublishedArtist

Getting ready for our upcoming mixed media workshop! 🎨 I’m making a collection of jelly plate papers for students to use in their collages, different colors, textures, and patterns so everyone has plenty to experiment with and can create something completely unique. We’ll be using these papers as part of our two-day collage + acrylic mixed media workshop on September 28 & 29 at The Artists’ Gallery in Capital Mall. I love this part of the preparation almost as much as the painting itself, every print comes out a little different. ❤️#ArtProcess #ContemporaryArt #CollageArt #gelprinting #ArtWorkshop

Last year I drew this self-portrait. This year, I finally got up. #SelfPortrait #PencilDrawing #FigureDrawing #ArtProcess #AIAnimation

Such a happy moment, seeing my painting “In the Season of Rhododendrons” published in the catalog for the 2026 Southwest Washington Juried Exhibition! I’m so proud to have been selected and very happy to see my work in print. ❤️ #ContemporaryArt ##JuriedExhibition #WashingtonArtist #OlympiaArtist #ContemporaryPainting

What happens when Van Gogh’s sunflowers meet collage, texture, and acrylic paint? 🌻✨ I used his iconic painting as inspiration, then took it in my own direction with layers, paper, color, and texture. #ArtTok #MixedMediaArt #VanGoghInspired #SunflowerArt #PaintingProcess

The Shape of Morning Acrylic on canvas • 16 × 20 inches Sometimes a painting isn’t finished when you think it is. This one went through many changes as I kept simplifying the composition, painting over, removing, and reducing shapes until only what felt essential remained. The final result reminds me of those quiet moments in the early morning, when light gently reveals rather than defines. Swipe to see the painting in a contemporary interior, and watch a glimpse of the creative process behind it. #modernart #ColorAndLight #abstractart #originalartwork #ContemporaryAbstract

Two of my most popular Mount Rainier prints are getting ready for their new homes. Living in Washington, it’s no surprise that Mount Rainier continues to be one of the subjects people connect with the most. Each print is carefully matted, packaged in a protective clear sleeve, and prepared by me to ensure it arrives ready to gift, frame, or enjoy. Every order is packed with the same care that goes into creating the original artwork. If you’ve been thinking about adding a piece of the Pacific Northwest to your home, or you’re looking for a meaningful gift, send me a message. I’d be happy to help you choose the perfect print. #artprints #mtrainiernationalpark #washingtonstate #modernart #naturelover

A glimpse into the process of creating a custom graphite pencil drawing, slowly building the details, textures, light, and shadows, one layer at a time. Finished piece coming soon. #graphitedrawing #pencildrawing #drawingprocess #artreel #commissionedart

A few moments from the opening reception of my exhibition at TAS. It was a wonderful evening with a great turnout and so many familiar and new faces. Thank you to everyone who came and took the time to view my work. Your support means so much. The exhibition will be on display through the end of September, so if you have a chance, I’d love for you to stop by and see it. #ColorAndLight #artexhibition #modernart #gallerylife #originalartwork

This painting arrived with a long tear across the canvas. When I first saw “She Moves in Her Sleep” by Peter Juvonen, I loved the painting so much that I really wanted to repair it. This short video shows the process, from the damaged canvas to the finished repair. ArtRestoration #CanvasRepair #PaintingRepair #ArtProcess #PeterJuvonen

My new children’s book about how birds build their nests is now available. Made with love, collage, and a lot of research. Link in bio. #ChildrensBooks #BirdLovers #NatureForKids #PictureBookAuthor #LearningThroughArt
