Lofty Hopes is Reopening! We bought property in Pahrump, but it needs a lot of work to move there. There's septic and a well. We need to build a water pump to get to the water, connect to the septic, and connect to the electric. We are hoping to be living on the property by fall. In order to be able to start taking birds we need aviaries and things to get started. I have a wish list and other ways to donate below, if you're able. Right now we ARE taking babies that are releasable. I just don't have room for anyone else, as I live in a 75 square feet little school bus right now. But soon.... 🎉 Amazon wish list: https://tinyurl.com/NHED7MHJ Paypal.me/loftyhopes Patreon.com/loftyhopes Zelle: 7022346990

It's the end of the Find Your Signature Style Challenge. I am so happy that I took part in this. I've learned so much about my style. Besides learning my style, I learned to see other dancers styles as well. Most importantly I learned my strengths and weaknesses, as well as an intro on how to dance emotions and how to break free from my box where things are comfortable. I can't wait to take what I've learned and apply it in my practice, drills, and in my choreography. Thank you @Stygian Collective for this amazing challenge! #stygiancollective #findyoursignaturestylechallenge #findyoursignaturestyle #bellydance

Day 4 of the Find You're Signature Style Challenge. Today was much easier because it was all about slow, which is definitely my style. I did get to break out of the box though by doing floor work, which I've never done. This challenge has been fun and eye opening. I'm able to see my own style, as well as see things in other dancers that make up their style. I've learned things that will add to my dancing skills and make me a better dancer. I'm truly grateful @Stygian Collective #findyoursignaturestyle #findyoursignaturestylechallenge #bellydance #stygiancollective

Day 3 of the "Find Your Signature Style Challenge" @stygiancollective was a tough day, but I got up and did the challenge anyways. It was honestly the only thing I did all day that felt good. ❤️ Today I want to touch on mental health. Here's some of my story: I do bird rescue and it's baby season, which means I'm getting very little sleep and I have many baby birds that depend on me to feed and raise them, along with my phone ringing off the hook with new calls. Burnout is real and the sadness can creep in quickly. I'm glad I had this challenge today. 3 minutes was literally all I could force myself to do for me, and it was nice. Sometimes it's the littlest things that keep us going and today it was this challenge. Whatever you are going through, find that one thing that lights you up, no matter what, and make time for it every day. You won't regret it. 💜 photos by Riot Shots #StygianCollective #bellydance #findyoursignaturestylechallenge #findyoursignaturestyle #findwhatyoulove

I took the "Find Your Signature Style Challenge" from The Stygian Collective and I'm having so much fun and I'm learning about finding my own style and what that means. Its FREE and it only takes about 20 minutes a day. I really feel that I'm learning things that are going to take me to the next level in my dance journey. 🩰 Today we recorded a 3 minute improv to a song and danced several emotions. I didn't have time to dance 3 minutes for each emotion so I did about a minute each one. I noticed the longer I danced, the more comfortable I got and the better me dancing got so I'll definitely be revisiting this. I'll tell you, improv is so NOT my thing. But I did it! I didn't read the questions until afterwards because I didn't want to get in my head, I just wanted to dance. Afterwards, I answered the questions and I understood what emotions were hard for me to dance, what came easy, and I discovered that recording improv as emotions to build your character and her story is what is going to have her truly come to life. This is what makes a captivating dance! ✨ For me, today's challenge was something I didn't think I could do, but I did it, and so can you. Join the "Find Your Signature Style Challenge" today. I'll drop the link below 😊 https://my.stygian.dance/widget/form/BBYf6tbN6Loo6HLejQ08 #signaturestylechallenge #day2 #StygianCollective #bellydance

I took the "Find Your Signature Style Challenge" from The Stygian Collective and I'm having so much fun and really learning about finding my own style and what that means. Its FREE and it only takes about 20 minutes a day. I really feel that I'm learning things that are going to take me to the next level in my dance journey. Today we recorded a 3 minute improv to a song. I'll tell you, improv is so NOT my thing. But I did it! I didn't read the questions until afterwards because I didn't want to get in my head, I just wanted to dance. Afterwards, I answered the questions and I really saw a lot of movements that showed up more than once, I learned where my movement begins from, how I like to move, and even got a glimpse into what an audience may have thought about my improv. My first thoughts were negative about what an audience would've thought, but I decided to force myself to come up with just as many good things as I did bad, and I actually ended up with more good things instead of judging myself too harshly. We all have that negative stuff going on in our heads. For me, this was about losing the fear of improv and overcoming that negativity. I did it and so can you.
