Real talk from the ranch this morning. We’re a family-run company building something from scratch — Badger Rebar Products. We design tools that make life easier for the guys in the field — the rebar crews, concrete teams, and rod busters out there doing real work. We’re now on Amazon, and we just landed an SBA deal with Home Depot. It’s a blessing — but also a battle. The mission now? Spread the word. If you believe in lifting each other up — especially fathers, tradesmen, and small businesses — I’m asking for one thing: Like, share, comment, or tag a friend in construction. Let’s build a network of good people helping each other grow. If you’re grinding out your dream too, drop a comment. Let’s connect. We’re not just building a company. We’re building legacy. #dadssupportingdads #supportdads #menhelpingmen #bluecollarstrong #badgerrebarproducts #rebarcrew #constructiontools #concretetools #rodbusterlife #ironworkersofinstagram #dadgrind #supportsmallbusiness #familybusiness #supportmen #fieldlife #fieldcrew #rebarstrong #workharddreambig #rebarclips #amazonfinds #startupstory #contractorlife #jobsitevibes #builtbyhand #wisconsinbusiness #madeinamerica #constructionnation #tiktokforbuilders #bluecollarentrepreneur #grinddontstop #dailygrind #supportthegrind #familyownedandoperated #tradesmenlife #formworkcrew #ironcrew #hardhatnation #concretecontractor #fieldtools #badgertough #hustleandbuild #sbadreams #amazonshop #contractorgear #startuptools #gritandgrind #homedepotsupplier #concretelifestyle #builderbrand #midwesthustle #menonthegrind #dadsinthefield #supportlocalbusiness #rebarproducts #rebarinnovation #dadbuilt #tradesupport #laborlifebalance #dadownedbusiness #fatherhustle #teamrebar #ironworkcrew #contractorbrand #dadsoftiktok #buildertiktok #blessedtobuild #rodbustertools #supportconstruction #americantrades #tradesmenunite #everydaygrind #madeinwisconsin #builtfromthegroundup #bluecollarfamily #rebargear #toolsofthetrade #toolsandgear #handsontools #jobsiteproducts #dadwithavision #concretedream #buildingdreams #dadsofinstagram #homedepotbusiness #builderstrong #dadtools #midwestgrit #supporttrades #rebarfix #dadownedbrand #nationwidevision #concreteworktools #menwhobuild #supportbuilders #helpmenbuild #tiktokbusinessowners #formworknation #jobsitegrind #toolsforbuilders #strongdads #supportstartup

Another day in the books here at The Little Rustic Ranch, and another great day for Aurora and Star! ❤️🐴🤠 Well, I’m happy to report that Aurora remembered her riding boots today! That’s progress, folks! 🤣 Now, the jeans? Apparently we’re still negotiating that part! Haha! One battle at a time, I suppose! 😂 All joking aside, I’m incredibly proud of how things are coming along. After taking some time away from riding, Aurora is finding her confidence again, getting comfortable in the saddle, and remembering just how much she loves being around horses. Yesterday was about getting back in the saddle and working through those nerves. Today was about showing up again, continuing to learn, and building on what we accomplished. And that’s something I think we can all learn from. You don’t have to be perfect at something to enjoy it. You don’t have to get everything right the first time. What matters is having the courage to try, the patience to learn, and the determination to keep improving. Horseback riding teaches so much more than just riding. It teaches balance, responsibility, patience, communication, and most importantly, confidence in yourself and trust in your horse. And sometimes it teaches you that maybe, just maybe, the person telling you to wear proper riding gear knows a thing or two! 🤣 We’re still working on that one! For safety, the jeans or proper riding pants are going to have to join those boots before the next ride. But what makes me happiest is seeing Aurora excited to ride again. Watching her confidence grow, seeing that smile, and knowing she’s choosing to spend her afternoons outside learning something meaningful is a pretty wonderful feeling. I’m thankful for Star and her patience, thankful for the opportunity to share these moments with Aurora, and incredibly blessed to have this life. To all the young riders out there, keep learning, keep practicing, and don’t let a difficult day discourage you. Every great rider started somewhere, and every ride is another opportunity to grow. And to the families thinking about getting their children involved with horses, don’t hesitate to reach out! We offer horseback riding lessons here at The Little Rustic Ranch and love helping others discover the joy of horsemanship. Another beautiful day, another memory made, and another step in the right direction. Now, if we can just get this girl into some jeans tomorrow, we’ll really be making progress! 😂❤️🐴 Today’s Prayer 🙏 Heavenly Father, thank You for another beautiful day and the opportunity to spend time together doing something we love. Thank You for the patience of our horses and the lessons they teach us about trust, responsibility, and perseverance. Please continue to guide Aurora as she builds her confidence and develops her riding skills. Give us patience as we teach, wisdom to keep everyone safe, and grateful hearts to appreciate these special moments. Continue watching over our family, our ranch, and every animal entrusted to our care. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Hope grows here one hoof at a time. ❤️🐴 Our Mission At The Little Rustic Ranch Rescue Society, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need, offering each one a second chance at a healthy, meaningful, and loved life. Well, today was a BIG day for our girl Aurora! ❤️🐴🤠 After taking a little break from horseback riding, Aurora finally got back in the saddle with Star for an after school riding session. And let me tell you, things didn’t exactly start off smoothly! 😂 Between school, hockey, and everything else that comes with growing up, riding had taken a back seat for a while. But today, she was ready to give it another shot! The only problem? She’s grown quite a bit, her stirrups weren’t adjusted properly, her heels weren’t staying down, and she was nervous. Oh, and did I mention she insisted on riding in shorts and Crocs?! 🤦♂️😂 Now, I tried explaining why proper riding gear was important, but apparently she needed to figure that one out for herself! Haha! The beginning was rough. Aurora was struggling with her balance and confidence, and Star wasn’t quite understanding what she wanted. But instead of giving up, we slowed things down and worked through it together. We focused on posture, balance, keeping her heels down, looking where she wanted to go, and communicating clearly with Star. Horseback riding is so much more than holding the reins. Your body position, confidence, and timing all influence how your horse responds. And little by little, things started clicking! By the end of our hour together, Aurora was trotting several laps, finding her rhythm, and looking more like her old self again! You could see her confidence returning, and that was the biggest accomplishment of the day. But the funniest part came afterward. She looked at me and said, “Tomorrow I’m wearing my jeans and boots!” 🤣 Well, imagine that! Someone might actually know what they’re talking about after all! Haha! Tomorrow we’ll get her stirrups properly adjusted, check her saddle fit, get her in the right riding gear, and continue building on today’s progress. What made me proud wasn’t how well she rode. It was that she didn’t give up when things got difficult. She pushed through her nerves, listened, learned, and finished the day wanting to ride again. That’s what it’s all about! To all the parents and families out there, encourage your kids to get outside, try something new, and step outside their comfort zones. Horses teach patience, responsibility, confidence, respect, and so many valuable life lessons. And to the kids, don’t be afraid to try! You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be willing to learn. We also offer horseback riding lessons here at The Little Rustic Ranch! If you’re interested in learning or getting your children involved, feel free to reach out! I’m incredibly proud of Aurora, thankful for Star, and blessed to share these moments together. ❤️ Today’s Prayer 🙏 Heavenly Father, thank You for another beautiful day and for the opportunity to spend time together as a family doing something we love. Thank You for watching over Aurora and Star as they continue learning and growing together. Please give our children the courage to try new things, the patience to work through challenges, and the confidence to believe in themselves even when things don’t come easily. Help us as parents to lead by example, to teach with patience and understanding, and to recognize that sometimes the greatest lessons come from the smallest accomplishments. Continue to protect our family, our horses, and every animal entrusted to our care. May we always appreciate these precious moments and never take the blessings of family, love Hope grows here one hoof at a time. ❤️🐴 Our Mission At The Little Rustic Ranch Rescue Society, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need, offering each one a second chance at a healthy, meaningful, and loved life. Well, apparently The Little Rustic Ranch has officially opened its very own equine beauty salon! 😂🐴❤️ And today’s lucky customer was none other than Miss Brownie herself! Donna decided our sweet girl needed a little pampering, but we don’t do manicures around here. We do MANEACURES! 🤣 Get it?! Haha!- (Terrible Dad Joke) 😝🙃 After another great day of training, working on her groundwork, leading, backing up, and changing directions, Brownie got to enjoy a little relaxation and some much deserved attention from Donna. And let me tell you, she was absolutely loving it! Donna spent some time brushing, grooming, and braiding Brownie’s mane, and Brownie stood there enjoying every minute of it. Her head was lowered, she was relaxed, and she looked like she was about ready to fall asleep! I think Donna might have found herself a regular customer! 😂 But all joking aside, moments like these mean so much more than a freshly groomed mane. When you think about where Brownie started and how far she’s come, it’s pretty incredible. From learning to accept human touch, to wearing a halter, leading, accepting a saddle, and now standing peacefully while someone brushes and braids her mane. That’s progress. That’s trust. And that’s what makes this journey so rewarding. It’s easy to get caught up in the bigger milestones, like the first time a horse accepts a saddle or learns a new command. But sometimes the greatest accomplishments are the quiet moments when a horse feels comfortable enough to simply relax and enjoy being loved. And watching Donna work with Brownie today was one of those moments I’ll always appreciate. Seeing the woman I love enjoying something she’s so passionate about, while helping one of our rescue horses build confidence and trust, is a pretty wonderful sight. These horses have so much personality, so much potential, and so much love to give when they’re given the opportunity. We’re not just teaching them how to become better horses. We’re learning from them every single day, too. Patience, kindness, consistency, and a whole lot of love can make an incredible difference. I’m so proud of Brownie and how far she’s come, and I’m incredibly thankful for Donna and the love she puts into these animals. Now the only question is, who’s next in line for a maneacure? Cookie? Star? Or maybe I should book an appointment myself! Lord knows I could probably use one! 😂🤠 Another beautiful day, another wonderful memory, and another reminder of just how blessed we truly are. Today’s Prayer 🙏 Heavenly Father, thank You for another beautiful day and for the blessings You continue to place in our lives. Thank You for the opportunity to care for these wonderful animals and to witness the progress they make through patience, kindness, and love. Thank You for Donna and the compassion she shows to every animal that crosses our path. Continue to guide our hands, give us understanding, and help us build trust with the horses entrusted to our care. Remind us that even the smallest moments can carry the greatest meaning. Please watch over our family, our ranch, and every animal that calls this place home. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Horses, dogs, and the woman I love. ❤️🐴🐕 Some days you don’t need anything more than that to realize just how beautiful life really is. Today was another one of those days at The Little Rustic Ranch that reminds me exactly why we chose this life. A beautiful, chilly fall day, the sun shining, the horses enjoying themselves, the dogs doing their thing, and Donna spending some quality time with our sweet girl Brownie. Donna spent some time working with Brownie today, giving her simple directions, brushing through her mane, and most importantly, showing her plenty of love and affection. Nothing rushed, nothing forced, just two beautiful souls enjoying each other’s company. And let me tell you, Brownie was absolutely loving every minute of it! 😂❤️ She was so relaxed and comfortable that I swear she was about ready to fall asleep standing there! Haha! Her head was lowered, she was enjoying all the attention, and you could tell she didn’t have a care in the world. But what really got me was watching Donna. The happiness in her eyes, the smile on her face, and the genuine love she has for these animals. You can’t fake something like that. Watching the woman I love share those moments with a horse we’ve worked so hard to help is something pretty special. It’s moments like these that make all the hard work worth it. When Brownie first came into our lives, we knew there was going to be a journey ahead of us. Building trust, developing confidence, learning boundaries, and helping her understand that people can bring comfort, kindness, and security into her life. And look at her now! Every day we’re seeing more of her personality, more confidence, and more willingness to learn. She’s becoming such a wonderful horse, and watching that transformation is something I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of. People sometimes think ranch life is all about riding horses, feeding animals, and enjoying the countryside. And sure, those things are part of it. But there’s so much more to it than that. It’s about patience. It’s about responsibility. It’s about family. It’s about finding happiness in the simplest moments and appreciating the life God has blessed us with. A little sunshine, a cool breeze, a horse enjoying some attention, and the woman I love smiling from ear to ear. That’s a pretty perfect day in my book! 🤠❤️ We are beyond thankful for another beautiful day here at The Little Rustic Ranch. Thank you all for continuing to follow our journey, supporting our animals, and being part of something that means so much to our family. Today’s Prayer 🙏 Heavenly Father, thank You for another beautiful day and for the countless blessings You continue to place in our lives. Thank You for the love of family, the companionship of our animals, and the opportunity to experience the peace and happiness that comes with living a simple life. Please continue to guide us as we work with these beautiful horses, giving us patience, understanding, and gentle hands. Help us recognize the beauty in the little moments and never take for granted the people and animals who make our lives so special. Bless our family, protect our ranch, and continue to watch over every animal in our care. Crazy dogs, crazy goats, crazy pigs, and one crazy Grammie! 😂🐴🐐🐷🐕 Life on the ranch is a blessing, and I wouldn’t trade this crazy life for anything! I swear there is never a dull moment around here. Between the pigs acting like they haven’t eaten in three weeks, the goats getting into absolutely everything they shouldn’t, the dogs thinking they run the entire operation, and Grammie right in the middle of all the chaos, you can’t help but laugh! 😂 Some days I wonder who’s actually in charge around here because I’m pretty sure it isn’t me! Haha! But you know what? This is exactly the life we’ve been working so hard to build. Early mornings, late nights, dirty boots, endless chores, and animals with more personality than some people I know. There’s always something that needs fixing, feeding, cleaning, or chasing down, but there’s also something pretty special about it all. It’s the little moments that make this life so rewarding. Watching the animals grow, seeing their personalities come out, spending time with family, and knowing we’re building something that means so much more than just owning a ranch. And having Grammie here enjoying it all with us makes it that much better. These are the memories that matter. These are the days we’ll look back on and wish we could experience all over again. We might not have everything figured out, and Lord knows there’s always another project waiting around the corner, but we have each other, we have our animals, and we have a whole lot to be thankful for. Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. Sometimes all you need is a little dirt on your boots, a barn full of animals, family by your side, and a good sense of humor! Wouldn’t trade it for the world! ❤️🤠 Today’s Prayer 🙏 Heavenly Father, thank You for this beautiful life and all the blessings You continue to bring our way. Thank You for our family, our animals, and the opportunity to wake up every day doing something we truly love. Even through the challenges, the hard work, and the occasional chaos, help us remember how fortunate we are. Continue to watch over our ranch, protect the animals in our care, and guide us as we continue building something meaningful for our family and our community. May we never take these simple blessings for granted. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Today was one of those days I’ll never forget. After a long wait, Star finally came home. The place she was staying was only about a mile down the road, and even though our road gets busy with all the lake traffic this time of year, I decided there was only one way she was coming home. We were going to ride. The smiles, the waves, and the thumbs up from people driving by made it even more special. It reminded me that horses still have a way of making people stop and smile. But that’s only part of the story. The saddle I rode today wasn’t just another saddle. It was my dad’s. Ever since I was a little kid, I admired that saddle. It hung there like a trophy, and every time I looked at it, I’d tell my dad, “Someday I’m going to ride in your saddle and be a real-life cowboy.” Dad grew up on a farm. Horses, cattle, and just about every animal you’d expect on a farm were part of his life. I didn’t grow up that way, but I was always drawn to it. I’d spend time helping neighbors and friends on their farms, trying to learn everything I could. Then I’d come home and ask Dad a hundred questions about what I had learned. His answer was usually the same. “It’s a lot of work with little money, if any.” Turns out… he wasn’t wrong. But that never changed my dream. Life has a way of taking unexpected turns. Before I ever had my own ranch, I lost my dad. Losing your best friend leaves a hole that never really goes away. A few years ago, my mom had his saddle professionally restored. The tree was still solid, but the leather was brought back to life. It’s beautiful again, yet it still carries every scar and mark from the years my dad used it. Those aren’t imperfections to me. They’re part of his story. Ever since it came back, I’ve treated it like a piece of history. I kept it clean and displayed it almost like it belonged in a museum because I didn’t want anything to happen to it. This morning, something told me it was finally time. Not to admire it anymore. To use it. So I saddled up Star with my dad’s saddle and rode her home. I can’t really explain what that ride felt like. It felt like he was there. Every mile down that road, every creak of the leather, every step Star took… it was one of those moments that stays with you forever. And for the record… it really is the most comfortable saddle I’ve ever ridden. I’m not just saying that because it was my dad’s either. It truly rides like a dream. I’ll be using it in the future a lot more! Today, I finally kept the promise that little boy made all those years ago. Today, I became that real-life cowboy I always dreamed about. Dad, I hope you were riding beside me today. I hope I made you proud. Thank you for teaching me how to work hard, how to treat people, and how to never quit chasing a dream, no matter how long it takes. I love you. I miss you every single day. Until we meet again. Lord, thank You for bringing Star home safely and for giving me a moment I’ll treasure for the rest of my life. Thank You for the memories of my dad, for the lessons he taught me, and for allowing me to honor him in such a meaningful way. Please continue to watch over our family, our ranch, and every animal You’ve entrusted to our care. Amen. Hope grows here one hoof at a time. Well… we have two new additions to the ranch family! Meet Dutton and Rocco. These two are Great Pyrenees × Akbash livestock guardian dogs, and I couldn’t be happier with this combination. They have an incredible temperament. They’re loving, gentle, and genuinely want to be with you. But the moment something doesn’t belong around the ranch, they let everyone know. That’s exactly what we were looking for. The first day they came home, I walked them around the chicken coop. One of them immediately caught the scent of the big raccoon that’s been prowling around lately. His hair stood up, his posture changed, and he went into work mode. It was amazing to watch those instincts kick in. The best part is that they already have a solid foundation. They spent the first couple of months with their parents learning how to be around chickens, cattle, horses, and pigs. That early exposure is incredibly valuable. Now it’s our job to continue that training, build their confidence, and teach them exactly what life at The Little Rustic Ranch looks like. The goal is for them to eventually have the freedom to patrol the property, protect the animals, and become another important part of our ranch family. We’re excited to watch them grow into the guardians they were bred to be. We truly are blessed, and we’re grateful to have them here. Please help us welcome Dutton and Rocco to The Little Rustic Ranch! Lord, thank You for bringing these two amazing dogs into our lives. Give us the wisdom and patience to train them well, keep them healthy and safe, and let them faithfully protect the animals You’ve entrusted to our care. May they grow into loyal guardians and loving companions for many years to come. Amen. Hope grows here one hoof at a time. Today was a BIG day for Brownie. 🤠🐴 Not too long ago, Brownie was just a scared rescue horse trying to figure out what people wanted from her. Today she wore a saddle for the very first time and handled it like an absolute champ. We spent time working on leading, building confidence, and taking another step forward in her training journey. Every day she continues to show us how smart, willing, and kind she really is. Watching a horse learn to trust and believe in themselves is one of the most rewarding things you’ll ever experience. And of course, Cookie was standing on the other side of the fence supervising the entire operation. She wasn’t about to volunteer for saddle duty today. 😂 She seemed perfectly content letting Brownie test things out first while she watched from a safe distance. Days like this remind me why we do what we do. These horses didn’t come here knowing what their future would hold. Now they’re learning, growing, and getting a second chance one day at a time. Prayer Lord, thank You for the progress we saw today and for the trust that continues to grow between these horses and the people who care for them. Thank You for the patience, lessons, and joy they bring into our lives. Help us continue guiding them with understanding, kindness, and purpose as they take each new step forward. Amen. Today was a huge day for Brownie. Not long ago, this was a horse that didn’t know what to think about people, halters, or being asked to do something outside of her comfort zone. Today, she wore her halter, walked with us, and started taking those next steps toward becoming the incredible horse we know she can be. Was everything perfect? Of course not. Growth never is. But that’s what makes days like today so special. Every step forward matters. Every lesson learned matters. Every moment of trust built matters. Brownie is proving exactly what we’ve believed from the beginning. She is intelligent, kind, willing, and has a heart of gold. The more time we spend with her, the more she opens up and shows us who she really is. Watching that confidence grow is one of the most rewarding parts of this journey. This is why patience matters. This is why consistency matters. You can’t force trust. You earn it one day, one step, and one good experience at a time. We are incredibly proud of her and excited for what’s ahead. She has a bright future, and we’re honored to be part of her story. Prayer Lord, thank You for the progress we witnessed today and for the opportunity to help this beautiful horse grow in confidence and trust. Thank You for the lessons You teach us through these animals about patience, understanding, and perseverance. Continue to guide our hands and hearts as we help Brownie become everything she was meant to be. Amen. Hope grows here one hoof at a time. Some of the best moments in life don’t cost a thing. No fancy plans. No big event. Just sitting around the fire on a Saturday night with family, listening to the crackle of the wood, watching the flames dance, and taking a minute to appreciate how blessed we really are. The world moves fast and it’s easy to get caught up chasing the next thing. But nights like this remind me that happiness is often found in the simple things. Good company. Good conversation. A warm fire. A grateful heart. Life is beautiful. Don’t forget to slow down long enough to enjoy it. Prayer Lord, thank You for the simple blessings that often mean the most. Thank You for family, for laughter, for a warm fire on a cool evening, and for the peace that comes from being present in the moment. Help us never lose sight of how blessed we truly are. Amen. Well… the ranch may have just gotten a little louder and a whole lot cuter 😂 We officially brought home two new dairy goats. Right now they’re just pets and part of the family, but we wanted to see if goats would be the right fit for the ranch before jumping all in. So far? I gotta say… they are hilarious, curious, and already acting like they own the place. This might end up turning into something bigger down the road. Maybe dairy goats. Maybe breeding. Maybe both. We’re taking it one step at a time and learning as we go, just like we always do around here. What do you guys think? Anyone here have dairy goats or experience with them? Drop your thoughts, advice, and name ideas in the comments because I have a feeling these two are going to become ranch celebrities pretty quick 😂 Prayer Lord, thank You for the opportunity to continue growing this ranch and learning new things along the way. Thank You for these animals and the joy they bring into our lives. Help us make wise decisions, care for them well, and continue building something rooted in love, purpose, and stewardship. Amen. Huge milestone today with Brownie. I’m now able to pet her and hand rub her on the side of her neck, cheek, between the ears, and along her body. For a horse that has never been touched by a human before, this is incredible progress. She’s starting to relax, trust, and think through the pressure instead of reacting to it. I’m so proud of how far she’s already come in such a short amount of time. She is such a solid-minded horse with a bright future ahead of her. I truly can’t wait to see where her journey takes her, and I’m grateful to be a part of it. Next stop… halter time!!! Hope grows here one hoof at a time. Big day today with Brownie. First time working her in the round pen and introducing the stick and string for desensitizing. She’s never been touched by a human before, so every small step is a huge win. You can see the uncertainty and little twitches at times, but you can also see her trying and starting to think instead of react. That’s where the foundation begins. She’s coming up on 3 years old, so we definitely have our hands full, but she’s smart, athletic, and has the mind to become one heck of a horse. I truly think she’s going to shine working cattle and sorting someday. Proud of this mare already. Hope grows here one hoof at a time. At The Little Rustic Ranch Rescue Society, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need, offering each one a second chance at a healthy, meaningful, and loved life. We believe in healing the broken through compassion and purpose, educating others about true animal advocacy, and honoring the powerful bond between humans, animals, and the land. Every life that enters our ranch matters, and every day is a chance to begin again. #RoundPenWork #YoungHorseJourney #CattleHorseInTraining

I wanted to share a little update since I’ve been quieter lately. I’ve been working at another ranch helping them get their horses and overall equine program in a better place. I had to sign NDAs and confidentiality agreements, which is why I haven’t been able to post about it until now. One of their horses ended up kicking an employee, and they brought me in to help get the horses back on the right track and restructure their program and systems so the horses can thrive and everyone involved can stay safe. It’s been meaningful work and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help where it’s needed. There’s more to come, and once this wraps up I’ll be posting more regularly again. Until then, I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying life. And as always, if anyone ever needs anything or has questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always willing to help where I can. Prayer Lord, thank You for the opportunity to serve, to guide, and to help bring clarity and safety where it’s needed. Please protect everyone involved, both people and horses, and help us lead with patience, wisdom, and compassion in all that we do. Amen. Hope grows here one hoof at a time. Hay auction day and we made out great. Had an absolute blast at the auction, met some good people, learned a little more each time, and came home with a solid load of hay. It always feels good knowing the horses are set up well and taken care of. The best part might have been unloading it all back at the ranch with the little tractor that could. That thing never quits and neither do we. Dust flying, hay stacked, laughs along the way. One of those days that just feels right. It’s hard work but it’s the kind of work that fills your cup. Grateful for the ability to provide, build, and keep moving forward one load at a time. Prayer Lord, thank You for safe travels, good deals, and the strength to do the work that needs to be done. Thank You for providing for our animals and allowing us to continue building something meaningful. Help us stay humble, grateful, and focused on the purpose You’ve set before us. Amen. Another beautiful day and another solid training session in the books. Training has been going really well, and Sugar is coming along nicely. You can see the progress every single day. She’s smart, willing, and thinks things through instead of reacting, which makes working with her incredibly rewarding. She’s the kind of horse that wants to understand, and when things click for her, it shows. The sun was shining, the air felt right, and it turned into one of those evenings where everything just lines up. No rush. No pressure. Just good work, good energy, and a horse that’s starting to believe in herself and the process. Moments like this are what make all the long days worth it. Prayer Lord, thank You for days like this and for the progress that comes from patience and consistency. Thank You for the ability to learn together, to build trust, and to grow one step at a time. Help us continue this work with calm hands, clear minds, and grateful hearts. Amen. Hope grows here one hoof at a time. I think we’ve got a winner. After all the name suggestions and a lot of back and forth, we’re pretty sure the barn cat has found his name. Meet Binks… or as he’s already being called around here, Binksie. If you know, you know. And if you don’t… well, you probably should 😏 He fits the name perfectly. Confident, mysterious, and fully aware that he runs the barn now. The real question is, does anyone know where the name came from? Drop it in the comments and let’s see who gets it right. Prayer Lord, thank You for bringing this little soul into our lives and for the joy he’s already added to our days. Thank You for reminding us that sometimes the best things come when we aren’t looking for them. Help us continue to care for every life here with kindness, patience, and love. Amen. Got some pictures of our black stray cat who shall remain nameless for now. We’ve already gotten some great name suggestions and we’re loving the creativity, but we’re going to let a few more roll in before we make it official. We’ve got a name in mind too, and let’s just say it might have something to do with a spooky time of year and a classic movie. If you know, you know… or maybe you don’t, Drop your guesses and keep those names coming. We’re posting this one to the tune of Stray Cat Strut because honestly, it fits him perfectly. Cool, confident, a little mysterious, and fully aware that he’s running the barn now. Watching him strut around like he owns the place has definitely added some extra entertainment to chore time. Prayer Lord, thank You for the unexpected joys that show up in our lives and for the laughter they bring. Thank You for reminding us that even the smallest moments can be full of meaning. Help us continue to care for every life that crosses our path with kindness and compassion. Amen. Hope grows here one hoof at a time. So we’ve got a new stray cat hanging around the neighbor’s ranch. He’s been showing up morning and night for a couple of weeks now and pretty much lives at the barn where Star is staying. Every time I’m out there feeding, he’s there. He doesn’t really approach anyone else, but he comes right up to me, wants pets, and purrs like crazy. That thing has a serious motor on him. Now if you know me, you know I’m not much of a cat person. But this guy has definitely gotten my attention. This week when Donna and Aurora came out, he went right up to them too, soaking up the love and purring nonstop. That’s usually how it starts, right? I can’t help but give him a little extra food and attention. As of now, he’s looking like a permanent resident of the barn. So maybe it’s time he gets a name. We already have a Midnight, so that one’s taken. Drop your ideas in the comments and we’ll see which name wins. Curious to hear what you all come up with. Prayer Lord, thank You for every life that crosses our path, even the unexpected ones. Thank You for the opportunity to show kindness, care, and compassion in small moments that mean more than we realize. Guide us to always lead with love and responsibility for all of Your creatures. Amen. Hope grows here one hoof at a time. We officially packed up our rented home in Fort and made the move to the ranch. One full 20 foot UHaul loaded top to bottom and unloaded at the ranch, and just like that we are one step closer to living here full time. It feels surreal seeing all of our things on this land knowing this is where we are building our future. Our house will be completed by the end of January, which means by February 1st we will be living in our new home. The pressure is definitely on right now. We’ve got a few short weeks to finish moving out, organize everything, and find spots for it all without an actual house to put it in yet. Good thing we’ve got a big garage because it is earning its keep right now 😂 We’ve got one more UHaul to go, toward the end of the month and then we’ll officially be done with the move. Through all the chaos, we are so grateful and so blessed. Thank you to everyone who has been following along, supporting us, and cheering us on as we grow here at The Little Rustic Ranch. This next chapter is getting real. Prayer Lord, thank You for opening doors and guiding our steps through this season of change. Thank You for protection during this move, for strength when things feel overwhelming, and for the blessing of building a home and a life rooted in purpose. Help us stay grounded, grateful, and faithful as we continue forward. Amen. Hope grows here one hoof at a time. Out here getting work done and of course I’ve got an audience. Brownie and Sugar follow me step for step, noses in everything, watching like they’re trying to learn the trade. And then there’s Cookie… standing ten feet away, butt fully pointed at me, tail flipping back and forth like she’s making a statement. The second the camera comes out it’s like she knows and decides that’s the angle we’re going with today. No shame. No hesitation. Just pure Cookie energy. That’s the thing about working around horses like this. It’s calm, it’s grounding, and somehow it’s hilarious all at the same time. Their curiosity, their personalities, the way they choose to be near you without being asked. It’s peaceful in a way that’s hard to explain unless you’ve lived it. These moments matter just as much as the big milestones. Prayer Lord, thank you for the quiet work, the laughter in unexpected moments, and the peace that comes from being surrounded by lives that trust us. Help us continue to lead with patience, kindness, and humility as we care for these animals and this land. Amen. Hope grows here one hoof at a time. Same day, different angle. Just me out here doing chores and Brownie, Sugar, and Cookie posted up like my little ranch supervisors. Not asking for anything, not causing trouble, just choosing to hang out. It’s wild how content they are just being near you. No pressure, no expectations, just presence. Those are the moments that really hit home and remind me why this matters so much. Prayer Lord, thank you for these quiet moments of connection, for the trust that grows without words, and for the peace that comes from simply being present with the lives you’ve placed in our care. Help us continue to show up with patience, humility, and love. Amen. Hope grows here one hoof at a time. Just posting a quick video of Brownie, Sugar, and Cookie following me around while I’m working in the paddock. Curious as can be… until I pull the camera out. Then all of a sudden it’s like they know they’re being watched and act like they weren’t just all up in my business two seconds ago 😂 You can’t tell me they don’t know. Gotta love it though. Funny as hell if you ask me. Prayer Lord, thank you for the joy these animals bring into our lives, for the laughter in the middle of hard work, and for the quiet moments that remind us why we do this. Help us continue to care for them with patience, respect, and love. Amen. Hope grows here one hoof at a time. Setting up the corral panels for the horses and the setup is going great. Got a little help along the way… well Brownie at least 😂 Cookie? Oh hell nah. She was not about that life at all. And honestly that is what I love most about them. Every one of these horses has their own personality. They think, they feel, they react. So human in their own way. It is a reminder that this work is never one size fits all. We meet them where they are and move forward together. I will keep you all posted as things continue to come together. Prayer Lord, thank you for these horses and the lessons they teach us every single day. Thank you for patience, for laughter, and for the reminder that every soul is different and worthy of understanding. Guide us as we build safe spaces for healing, trust, and growth. Amen. This is what the ranch used to look like before the old ranch house was torn down. Over Christmas, the family reached out to us and shared these original photos along with the drawing, and honestly it stopped me in my tracks. What a gift. To see the land before us, to feel the history, and to know how many lives passed through here long before we ever did. Moments like this remind me that we are just caretakers of something much bigger than ourselves. I hope you all enjoy seeing it as much as I do, because this place has a story, and we are honored to be part of the next chapter. Prayer Lord, thank you for the history of this land and for the hands and hearts that came before us. Thank you for trusting us with what remains and for guiding us as we rebuild with purpose, humility, and love. May we honor the past while creating a future rooted in compassion, healing, and hope. Going live today at 1 PM and I’d love for you to join me. This live is about real things. The rescue horses. The progress. The struggles. The wins. The questions that matter and the ones people don’t always feel comfortable asking. Nothing scripted. Nothing fancy. Just honest conversation about the work, the animals, the journey, and where we’re headed. Brownie, Sugar, and Cookie are settling in, the corral is finally set up, and we’re stepping into the next phase with them. Training is coming. Trust building is coming. Consistency and patience are coming. If you’ve followed along, this is a good time to tune in and be part of it. Come hang out, ask questions, learn something, or just listen in. This rescue exists because of community, and these conversations matter. 🙏 Lord, thank You for another day, for the animals in our care, and for the people who support this mission. Give us patience, wisdom, and steady hands as we continue this work. Help us always lead with compassion and purpose. Amen. Hope grows here one hoof at a time. Brownie. Sugar. Cookie. These three rescue mares are stepping into their next chapter. The corral is finally set up the way it needs to be, and that opens the door for the next phase of their journey. They’ve had time to settle, decompress, and just be horses. Now the groundwork begin, slow, intentional, and built on trust. Nothing about rescue or training is rushed here. Every step matters. Every interaction matters. These girls have already come a long way, and we’re committed to doing right by them as we move forward. Feeling grateful for the progress, the space, and the responsibility of caring for these horses the right way. Prayer: God, thank You for guiding us through each season of this journey. Thank You for Brownie, Sugar, and Cookie, and for the lessons they continue to teach us. Please give us patience, clarity, and steady hearts as we begin this next phase of training. Let everything we do be rooted in care, respect, and purpose. Amen. We’re going LIVE today at 1 PM CT December 26 Come join us, check out the new corral setup, and spend some time with Brownie, Sugar, and Cookie. Hope grows here one hoof at a time.
