This was a beautiful hike, but you definitely have to work for it! You will get muddy and wet. I managed to fall in the river at the first crossing! The trail is slippery and muddy. Poles were very helpful. There are several rock scrambles. It took 8 hours to complete with frequent photo, food and rest breaks. Be prepared to swim!#hanakapiaifalls #kalalautrail #hike #waterfall #kauai @AllTrails @insta360 official

A must see when traveling the Oregon coast! This is Sea Lion Cave. It is one of the largest sea caves in the world! The cave is privately owned and requires an entrance fee. $18 dollars for adults and $12 for children 5-12. 4 years an under are free. You ride an elevator 208 feet down into the cave. Stellar Sea Lions can be seen in the cave and outside the cave on the shore! The Haceta Head light house can also be seen in the distance. #sealioncaves #cave #oregoncoast #sealion #roadtrip

Visiting the remote Tall Trees Grove in Redwood National Park requires a free online permit, a gate code for vehicular access, and a moderately strenuous hike. Because cell service is nonexistent in the area, you must plan ahead, download or print your permit materials, and prepare for a rugged 4.5-mile journey. 1.Permit and Reservation InformationTo protect this fragile ecosystem, daily access is strictly limited. Permits are free but mandatory.In-Advance Permits: Full-day permits can be reserved up to 180 days in advance via the Redwood Parks Conservancy.Last-Minute Permits: Half-day permits are released the day prior to your visit at 8:00 AM (for morning access) and 1:00 PM (for afternoon access). The Gate Code: You will receive your permit confirmation immediately, but your locked-gate access code will be emailed to you 24 hours prior to your hike. Tip: Screenshot or print the gate code, as cell service drops completely on the drive up. 2. Driving to the TrailheadGetting to the trailhead takes about 1 to 1.5 hours from the nearest visitor center and requires a vehicle, as RVs and trailers are not permitted. From US Highway 101, turn onto Bald Hills Road (near the Kuchel Visitor Center).Drive approximately 7 miles up the winding paved road until you reach the locked gate on your right.Enter the code from your permit into the lock, pass through, and ensure you lock the gate behind you.Continue down the rough, narrow, 6-mile dirt logging road until you reach the designated parking area and trailhead. 3. Hiking to the GroveThe trail is a 4.5-mile round trip and drops into a steep, old-growth floodplain. Expect the hike to take roughly 3 to 4 hours. The Descent: The first part of the hike is a steep, 800-foot descent down to the floor of Redwood Creek. The Grove Loop: Once at the bottom, you will enter the Tall Trees Grove, home to some of the tallest living organisms on Earth (many exceeding 350 feet). You will follow a mostly flat 1.3-mile loop trail that winds alongside the creek. The Climb: Keep in mind that what goes down must come back up. The return trip requires a steady, moderately strenuous 800-foot climb back to the parking lot. #redwoodnationalpark #hyperion #coastalredwoods #talltreesgrove #hike@AllTrails

The highest drivable location on the Oregon Coast. The stone shelter was completed in the 1930’s. View 70 miles of the the coastline! Views 40 miles to sea. This is a great place to watch for whales. Combine nearby attractions like Thor’s well, spouting horn and The Devil’s churn. #oregoncoast #capeperpetua #oregoncoastvibes #pnw #seaview

One of ten incredible waterfalls you will see in a single hike! If you love seeing waterfalls this is the place! Trail of ten falls is located in silver Falls State Park. The full hike is 7.6 miles with 1184 feet of elevation gained. Hike to the top of “God’s Thumb” with me! This was a bucket list hike for me. According to All Trails it was 5 miles and 1129 feet of elevation gain. It was great being the first one of the day on this trail. This hike is actually called “the knoll” the thumb portion is a spur off of that trail. There is no signage for the thumb so use AllTrails .@AllTrails #godsthumb #oregoncoast #hike #cliff #bucketlisthike
