@Kocee BUEA, CAMEROON — Emerging and growing content creators gathered in Buea on Friday, October 16, 2026, for Skit to Stardom, a creative masterclass designed to equip young talents with the knowledge and skills needed to build successful brands in the digital entertainment industry. Organised as part of activities leading up to Kocee’s homecoming concert, the masterclass brought together experienced creators from Cameroon and Nigeria to share practical insights on content creation, branding, monetisation and digital influence. The event was hosted by Steve Fonkam, who served as the master of ceremonies, guiding discussions and connecting participants with the invited speakers. Representing Nigeria were Dr. Craze, Josh 2 Funny, OluwaDollarz and WhiteMoney, while Cameroon was represented by Spaco Lee and Godisz Fungwa. The creators shared experiences and lessons from their respective journeys, offering participants valuable perspectives on navigating the competitive world of online content. A major focus of the discussions was personal branding and monetisation. Speakers highlighted the importance of building a recognisable identity, understanding one's audience and creating content that can attract opportunities and generate income. They also emphasised that content creation should go beyond the desire for fame or quick financial rewards. Passion, consistency and a genuine interest in storytelling were identified as important foundations for creators seeking to build sustainable careers. The masterclass further explored the importance of content quality, encouraging participants to pay attention to originality, presentation and the value their work offers audiences. Discussions also examined the distinction between being a content creator and an influencer, highlighting how creating engaging material differs from using one's audience and credibility to shape opinions, promote products or influence decisions. Beyond the presentations, Skit to Stardom provided an opportunity for networking, knowledgesharing and collaboration among creatives at different stages of their careers. The initiative reflects the growing importance of digital creativity as a source of employment, entrepreneurship and cultural expression among young people in Cameroon. As part of the build up to Kocee’s homecoming concert scheduled for Saturday, October 17, at Molyko Omnisport Stadium in Buea, the masterclass demonstrated that the celebration was about more than music. It also created space for learning, mentorship and the development of emerging creative talent. Through Skit to Stardom, participants were reminded that success in the digital space requires more than posting content: it takes passion, quality, a clear brand identity, consistency and a strategy for turning creativity into opportunity. From skit to stardom, the goal is not just to create content, but to build a brand that lasts. Kocee #SkitToStardom #Kocee #Buea #CameroonCreatives #ContentCreation

🇨🇲📚 HONOURING THOSE WHO SHAPE OUR FUTURE On the occasion of World Teachers’ Day 2026, the Governor of the Southwest Region, H.E. Bernard Okalia Bilai, chaired the celebration at the Buea Council, bringing together education authorities, dignitaries and teachers from across the different levels of education. In his address, the Governor recognized teachers as agents of peace, stability and national development, emphasizing their essential role in educating, transforming and building our society. A particularly memorable moment of the celebration was the presentation of medals to deserving teachers honoured in the Order of Academic Palms, in recognition of their dedication, commitment and contribution to the education sector. On behalf of the President of the Republic, the Governor presented the distinctions to the recipients, Knights honor of Academic distinction, making the moment one of pride, joy and encouragement for the teaching community. 🏅👏🏾 His message was also a reminder that, even 60 years after the international community reaffirmed the importance of the teaching profession, the responsibility remains clear: teachers must be respected as professionals, adequately trained, and provided with improved working conditions. As Cameroon continues to navigate a rapidly changing world and the rise of digital transformation, supporting teachers remains an investment in peace, stability, human development and the future of our nation. 🎙️ A message of recognition. A moment of honour. A call to continue supporting those who educate and shape our future. Happy World Teachers’ Day 2026! 🇨🇲👩🏾‍🏫👨🏾‍🏫 #WorldTeachersDay2026 #TeachersDay #SupportingTeachers #GovernorBernardOkaliaBilai #SouthWestRegion
