Every woman who has been hurt was someone’s daughter. Someone’s sister. Someone’s mother. Someone’s best friend. Someone who had dreams, plans, people waiting for her and a life she deserved to live. And right now my heart hurts for every woman whose name has become another headline. For every family waiting for answers. For every mother scared for her daughter. For every girl growing up learning that fear is something she is supposed to accept. But to every woman reading this. Please do not let the cruelty of this world make you believe that your life is worth less. You deserve to walk freely. You deserve to live without fear. You deserve to come home. You deserve to be protected. You deserve justice. We should not have to be fearless just to exist. But until this country becomes safer for women, let us continue to stand together, speak for those who cannot, protect one another and refuse to become silent. Our pain is real. Our anger is real. Our fear is real. But so is our strength. May every woman who is still here be reminded that she matters. And may every woman we have lost never become just another number.
