Well we are are back after some time off and what better way to kick off again than a nice brake upgrade!!!😎 With @joedelguercio tonight, he contacted us a while back while we were away and was after a brake upgrade kit for his caddy we suggested a set of brembo 6 pot callipers like on a TTRS. He ordered the kit and when we got there he had gone for Porsche 6 pots green in colour. Well this was the last job at VAG REPAIRS HQ, we would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the last 3 years. We are currently on the look out for a new premises to set up the new HQ, hopefully bigger and better. 👍🏽 We are still offering mobile service 🚗💨 This customer contacted us as their Audi A3 came up with a clutch over temp fault on the dash upon inspection we found that the dsg clutch pack was slipping due to being out of tolerance and that the mechatronic unit had also failed We replaced the mechatronic unit and fitted a new clutch pack to the vehicle and vehicle is back on the road. @_cc.2000_ contacted us as his rear lights weren’t working on the rear of his TT. Very common problem the earth wire tends to burn out we organised new bulb holders and wiring to rectify the concern. When we stripped down the vehicle we found Simon had been there before 🤦🏽‍♂️ and done a bodge repair. We rectified the wiring carrying out manufactures repair and replacing standard earth wiring with gold terminal ones. Full service last night on this little A1, customer only had a service 6 months ago. Previous garage just set the service life to fixed which only gave the customer 9k between oil changes. This took us back a bit earlier, one of our team had to go to this old mK4 golf. The customer was complaining for a knocking noise coming from the front brakes. They asked could we fit a set of genuine front pads to the vehicle and they also noticed the coolant level was dropping. We got a set of genuine front pads and a new radiator as the radiator was leaking. This customer contacted us after we done some work in his area recently. He asked if we could carry out a dsg service on his mk5 golf. The customer did say that he had got a quote from his local VW specialist for £360 parts and labour and would loose the car for a day while it was in the garage. Emergency 🚨 This customer contacted us as they noticed a burning smell from their vehicle when they got to work and they noticed that the front brake pads had worn unevenly. @pwr.kent contacted us as they where loosing coolant on their Vw crafter every couple of days. We have one of our team turn up carry out a pressure test and a combustion test on the cooling system and found the egr cooler was leaking internally and causing the coolant level to drop. We attended this evening and replaced the egr cooler and refilled the cooling system run the vehicle up. VAG REAPIRS does it again busy Saturday. @autotech.in.car contacted us after his daughters car started making a horrible knocking noise. 🤦🏽‍♂️ We managed to source an engine, to swap out the bad one, while the engine was out we fitted a new Cambelt, clutch, thermostat and housing and carried out a full service. This customer contacted us after a recommendation from another customers whose car we recently sorted out. They were experiencing juddering from the car when put in drive, we had one of our technicians pop down to the customers address plug the vehicle in and found an event logged in the transmission control unit for torque limit exceeded. They also looked at the live data and the shaft speeds inside the gearbox were not turning at the same speed. We advised the customer that the clutch pack needed to be changed inside the dsg gearbox. We arranged the parts and carried out the repair to manufactures standards. Upon stripping the clutch assembly out we found that one of the clutch forks had broken. 2nd clutch over the bank holiday weekend. This is a regular customer who has there servicing done with us and when things go wrong. Another day another clutch👍🏽 Young @scott_williams130805 is training to become a Vw technician 👨‍🔧 He recently purchased this little SEAT Mii and the clutch pedal was high. He also wanted to do the brakes on the front of his vehicle. He got in contacted with us and asked if we could do it with him so he can use it for his training towards his apprenticeship. VAG REPAIRS does it again!!!!!🌟🌟 This poor little S1 had a strange noise coming from under the car and then the customer noticed an oil leak. They got the car to us where we quickly diagnosed that the bevel box bearing had failed. Very common problem on the S3 but first time we’ve seen one on an s1 vehicle has only done 79k.
