Here, we cut through the noise and teach you how to actually build your VA claim with strategy, not luck. No fear tactics. No “file for everything” nonsense. Just real, veteran-led guidance from people who’ve been where you are. Especially right now, when things feel chaotic, you don’t need hype. You need structure. You need preparation. You need to understand how the VA actually evaluates claims. If you’re tired of guessing and ready to learn how this process really works, stick around. Drop “STRATEGY” in the comments if you want me to point you in the right direction. And hit that follow because this year, we’re focused on strategy, not shortcuts. #VAClaims #VADisability #VAClaimSupport #Veterans

“Veterans are abusing the system. Everyone’s 100%.” That’s the headline you’ve seen online, but it’s wrong. And I’ve got the data to prove it. 📉 ✅ New numbers from the VA Annual Benefits Report are out. ✅ Most vets aren’t 100%. ✅ Filing a legit claim isn’t abuse—it’s your right. Watch this before you let someone guilt you out of what you’ve earned. 📌 Follow for real talk & tag a veteran who needs to hear this. And if you’re wondering why you’re stuck at 10 or 30%… Part 2 is next. #VAClaims #VeteranSupport #VeteranBenefits #DisabilityClaims #AskDP #TruthMatters #FactsNotFear #VeteransDeserveBetter

🎯 Filed a BDD claim by throwing darts and hoping something sticks? You’re not alone. Last week I spoke with a service member who did just that—no strategy, no roadmap, just vibes. Some stuff had evidence. Some didn’t. A few weren’t even ratable. We backed it up and rebuilt the whole thing—from what conditions actually mattered to what needed more support. He told me, “Man, I wish I had your course before I filed.” If you’re about to file and thinking “I hope this works,” stop hoping. 👇 Comment BDDHELP and I’ll send you the course. Or skip the wait, link’s in bio to start building your claim the right way. Strategy > Scramble. Every time. #VAClaims #VADisability #askdp #vncc #activeduty #bddclaim

Snoring, waking up exhausted, or having trouble sleeping? If you're still in, get it checked out and make sure it's in your medical records before you separate. Don't wait until you're out and trying to prove it started in service. Comment BDD and I'll send you the step-by-step to get your records right and your BDD claim in before you separate. #VAClaims #VAdisability #Veterans #VeteranTok #BDDClaim

2 million veterans are now rated 100%. Some people read that and decide everybody's faking it. Here's what I see: a generation that finally asks for help. We've worked with vets in their 90s who never filed until they needed help paying for care. For decades, nobody made a headline about the vets who never asked. Are you a vet who waited too long to ask for help, or do you know one? #VAClaims #VAdisability #Veterans

You're not the only one. A lot of veterans sit on that question for years. You know something's not right from service, but the forms, the VA website, and all the conflicting advice make it hard to even start. You don't have to figure it out alone. What you need is someone who understands the VA process. Someone who can look at what you're actually dealing with and help you figure out what makes sense to claim, what evidence it needs, and what to do first. If you're sitting on that question, ask me about booking a free assessment call with one of our advisors. #VAClaims #VAdisability #Veterans

The VA is breaking records, but when they get it wrong, it’s YOUR money on the line. Comment HELP if you’ve been denied and need guidance figuring out your next move. A faster decision means nothing if you’re now spending months fighting an error that should’ve been caught before the decision was issued. That’s potentially months of compensation delayed, benefits left on the table, and time spent fighting a claim you thought was already resolved. We’re all for faster decisions. But accuracy matters just as much. Because behind every claim number is a veteran whose livelihood may depend on getting that decision right. #VAdisability #VAclaims

Secondary to what? And based on what medical relationship? Telling a veteran to “just file it secondary” without understanding the condition, the service-connected disability, or the evidence connecting the two is just another version of throwing claims at the wall. #VAdisability #VAclaims

Have a C&P exam coming up? Don't walk in unprepared. Comment PREP and I'll send you the details on my Ace Your C&P Exam course so you know what to expect and how to prepare. “The veteran was difficult to redirect.” That was actually written in my own C&P exam notes. Why? Because I'd read the CFR. I knew what conditions I was being evaluated for, what the VA was looking at, and what was relevant to my exam. I wasn't going to get sidetracked from what I was there to discuss. That's the difference preparation makes. You don't have to know every regulation, but you should know what you're walking into. #VAdisability #VAclaims #veteranbenefits

VHA diagnosed you. That does not mean VBA has to service connect you. A diagnosis proves you have the condition. Your claim still has to prove the connection to service. Share this with a veteran who thinks a VA diagnosis automatically means VA disability compensation.

Not every condition needs to be filed the second you think of it. Sometimes the diagnosis is there, but the evidence connecting it isn’t. Sometimes the theory doesn’t make sense yet. Sometimes you need more treatment or documentation before you file. That doesn’t mean the claim is dead. It means filing something just because you can is not the same as filing it strategically.

The condition on somebody else's award letter doesn't tell you what's causing your symptoms. Write down what's actually happening, how often, and what you've been treated for. That's a better starting point for a doctor's visit. Save this and take your actual symptoms to your provider before you pick a condition to claim. #VAdisability #VAclaims #veteranbenefits #gerd

4 things to do before you file a VA claim. Watch what they spell. 👀 Document everything. Doctor visits, symptoms, how it affects work and home. If it's not written down, it's hard to show. Ask for help early. Don't wait until you're stuck or denied. Talk to someone who knows the process before you file. Medical evidence that connects it to your service. You need a current diagnosis and something showing it ties back to your service. No connection, no claim. Never downplay your symptoms. Veterans are trained to push through, so don't just take Motrin and drive on. Tell the truth about your worst days, not just your good ones. If you're about to file and want someone to look at your situation first, ask me about booking a free assessment call. #VAClaims #VAdisability #veterans

Just because the VA orders a C&P exam doesn't mean your private medical opinion was insufficient or that you wasted your money on a nexus letter. Sometimes there's a legitimate reason for another exam. Sometimes it's an unnecessary request. And sometimes, yeah, it's just sloppy work. But apparently, some people on the internet have figured out exactly what happened with YOUR claim without ever looking at your file. 🙃 Stop treating someone else's VA claim experience like it's a universal rule. Share this with a veteran who needs to hear it. #VAClaims #VAdisability

There's a difference between the injury that happened in service and the disability you're claiming because of it. The injury is the event. The claim is the disability it left you with, and how it limits you today. If you're unsure what you should be claiming, comment HELP and we'll send you the info to book a free assessment call with one of my advisors. #VAClaims #VAdisability

"Just file when you get out." That's some lazy advice to give someone preparing to leave the military. You're already dealing with enough during your transition. Finding a job, moving, figuring out healthcare, and adjusting to civilian life. Why add your VA disability claim to that list if you have the opportunity to handle it while you're still serving? That's exactly why the BDD program exists. If you're eligible, you can file your VA disability claim 180 to 90 days before separation. You can get your claim submitted, complete your C&P exams, and potentially have a decision shortly after separation. One less thing to worry about when you're transitioning. And even if you're not in your BDD window yet, you can start preparing now. You should be leaving the military with a plan for your VA claim, not starting from scratch after you're out. Info on my page for the BDD course we built to walk you through it. #VAClaims #Veterans #BDDClaim #VAdisability

Not every proposed change is an emergency. Not every deadline floating around online means you need to rush and file something tomorrow. Fear gets attention. Facts help you make better decisions. Know what is actually changing, when it takes effect, and whether it even applies to your claim before you react. Share this with the veteran who gets anxious every time a new VA change starts circulating online. #VAClaims #Veterans #VAdisability

When I was a Federal Air Marshal, we didn't have time to miss. One shot, one …..x. That's how I need you walking into your C&P exam. Too many veterans spray and pray. They exaggerate, repeat what they heard online, and hope something sticks. You don't have to. Your truth is enough. You just have to know how to unpack it and say it. 📌 Be on target. Make every example count. 📌 Don't exaggerate, and don't downplay. 📌 Speak your truth, even when it's uncomfortable. Part 2: what to do after a bad exam. Pissed? Fair. But don't swing. Write. Step one: document it the same day. While it's fresh. Date, what happened, what was said, what you observed. Facts, not feelings. Step two: report it to the contractor and get that memo submitted to the VA. The pen is mightier than the sword. Losing your cool in that room only hurts you. Missed Part 1? That's the three red flags that tell you it was a bad exam in the first place. Go watch it. @David DP Pineda | Vet Advocate C&P exam coming up? "I didn't know how to explain it, so I just shut down." We hear this from veterans after their C&P all the time. You know exactly what you deal with every day, but when the examiner starts asking questions, you freeze, give the short version, or say "I'm fine" out of habit. That's not you being dishonest. That's years of sucking it up and driving on. The fix isn't memorizing what to say. It's walking in already knowing what matters: how often it happens, how bad it gets, and how it affects your work, sleep, and family. When you've thought it through before the exam, it's a lot easier to say it out loud. C&P exam coming up? Replying to @Harry Dresden A viewer commented: "Unless you get my examiner. Dry piece of toast." Fair. But a dry examiner isn't always a bad exam. Here are three red flags from the class. Red flag one: the examiner doesn't listen or rushes you. Cutting you off, ignoring your details. Red flag two: inaccurate reporting. Misstating your symptoms or your history. Red flag three: unprofessional behavior. Judgmental comments, no neutrality. Now don't mistake an examiner keeping you on track for rushing you. We get limited time in that room. That's different from being cut off and dismissed. That's three of them. The class covers the rest. Part 2 is what to do after a bad exam. That's coming next. C&P exam coming up? Please, please do not hurt yourself for a C&P exam. If you have a bad back, bad knees, you fill in the blank, and you know certain activities will throw you out, I don't need you playing a full-court game of basketball and cleaning the whole house just so you can show up limping. Speak to your flare-ups. Speak to your worst moments and how they affect you. That's fine. But don't hurt yourself. C&P exam coming up? Use that time to review your records, understand what's actually documented, and get seen for legitimate issues you've been dealing with.
