Faces like this deserve shadows that tell the story. For this shot, @Ryan Clark Sims used a V-Flat as the background, creating a clean, dark surface that keeps all the focus on the face and texture. Tag a photographer who needs #VFlats

You don’t always need another light. Sometimes you need some VFlats ⬛️⬜️ Shot by @efexphotography Model @Yellomoon

3 V-Flats. 1 beautiful portrait. 🖤🤍 Yaw Asiedu used the black side of the vflats on both sides to subtract light + add shape, then one V-Flat below for chin fill. #vflatworld #beautyphotography #vflats

New studio, new flex. 😮‍💨 Two V-Flats + Two Lights = instant drama He controlled bounce, got more dimension, and a background that stayed black Congrats to Mike Ferdinande on the new studio in the Detroit Area — let the shoots begin. 🏙️📸

A winter storm is coming… ❄️ So we built the storm in-studio with V-Flats. Swipe to see BTS ➜final frames by @Andrew Meier V-Flats gave us that clean, dark negative fill + control so the light stays dramatic and the background stays gone.

SOFTBOX vs V-FLAT BOUNCE 💥📸 What happens when you swap a softbox for a V-Flat… and use it as your key light? @Jeff Carpenter put it to the test:

No studio? No problem. Step 1: build a cave. 🖤 Step 2: put the model in it. Step 3: enjoy clean portraits in broad daylight. #VFlatWorld #LightingHack #PhotographyTok

POV: It’s an overcast day and your light is too soft… so you remove light. ☁️🖤📸 @efexphotography We used negative fill (black V-Flat) to: ✅ add shadows + dimension ✅ sculpt the face ✅ separate the subject from the background Cheat code: closer = more drama, farther = softer shape. #VFlatWorld…
