Manitoba’s new Cattle Cop! 🐂 We listened to Manitoba beef producers and we’re funding a dedicated RCMP officer to investigate livestock-related crimes and enhance the protection of cattle and other livestock. This investment will reduce risk, encourage growth and put Manitoba on equal footing with our Prairie neighbours. Protecting our producers, their livelihoods and rural Manitoba.

100 new community care spaces means the right care sooner, while opening up hospital beds for those who need them. That’s how we’re fixing health care, is by working together.

🦬 🗳️ 3 years ago tonight Manitobans made history across Canada. A heartfelt miigwech, merci and thank you for electing our team. The things we’ve done together as #OneManitoba have made us the envy of the rest of the country. We represent what being a Canadian is all about. A lot done. A lot to do. We’ll keep working hard for you as the next election happens in a year from now… or less. 😉

🧡 Honouring Residential School Survivors, the parents left behind and those who never came home. Remembering our history, including the dark moments, is the patriotic thing to do and displays our resilience as a nation. It will make our children stronger. 🇨🇦 Brandon Orange Shirt Day 2026 with Sioux Valley Dakota Nation. #EveryChildMatters

Here are the graves. This Orange Shirt Day we are returning the Brandon Indian Residential School cemetery grounds to the Sioux Valley Dakota Nation on behalf of many First Nations whose children are buried here. This is one of the most well documented burial grounds at a residential school in Canada with not only church and historical records but also contemporaneous newspaper articles describing what happened to these children. You can not deny history. 🎵: Melody McKiver - Orange Shirt Day #orangeshirtday #everychildmatters #truthandreconciliation #trc #herearethegraves

Today we’re welcoming two new voice to Manitoba’s cabinet; one to support first responders and one to improve accessibility. Carla Compton, a registered nurser and MLA for Tuxedo, will serve as Minister responsible for Accessibility, working to make services easier to navigate for Manitobans living with disabilities, their families and caregivers. David Pankratz, a former firefighter and MLA for Waverly will serve as Minister responsible for First Responders Initiatives, which focuses on supporting the people who put their lives on the line to keep us safe, including better mental health and work place supports. Two more strong voices joining the cabinet table for #OneManitoba.

Welcome Jennifer Flett, newly elected MLA from The Pas - Kameesak, who took her seat in the legislature for the first time on this the day before our nation honours the survivors of residential schools, the parents left behind, and the children who never came home. She is a symbol of the resilience and the comeback of Indigenous nations across Turtle Island.

📈 We cut Manitoba’s deficit in half and now on a clear path to balance the books next year. ⚖️ Despite Trump’s threats and global economic instability, we’re adding jobs {humble brag: we have the lowest unemployment in 🇨🇦} AND growing our economy to make life more affordable. Turns out little ol’ Manitoba is a lot stronger than any bully saw coming. 🦬

Manitoba, you’ve changed your clocks for the last time. We are just going to stay on summer time a.k.a. Central Daylight Time, a.k.a. The time it is right now. What does this mean for Manitobans? No more changing clocks twice a year. More evening daylight in summer time. More light for your drive home from work in the winter. Less disruptions to sleep and routines. No more springing forward or falling back. So this November 1st, the times they will NOT be a changin’

25 years since 9/11. The world changed on that day, and it has changed since. Yet some things will always be true. We remember those we lost, the first responders who rushed toward danger, and the brave Canadians who laid down their lives in Afghanistan in the global war against terror. We remember, too, that in our darkest hours, the Maple Leaf and the stars and stripes will always be neighbors, always be allies, and always stand together against whatever tries to divide us. 🇨🇦🇺🇸

🌱 Manitoba’s first ever geothermal neighbourhood is the first step on our new Path to Net Zero. We’re investing $4 million to build Manitoba’s first large-scale district geothermal project at Southwood Circle. It brings low-carbon heating and cooling to at least 1,000 new homes near the University of Manitoba. This will make environmentally friendly home heating more affordable for home owners! Good for the climate. 🌎 Good for your wallet. 💳 Good for Manitoba. 🦬

Hate and racism have no place in Manitoba. Today at Nagar Kirtan, we saw what is far stronger: faith, community and people gathered in celebration. That spirit is stronger than any hateful and racists graffiti. To Manitoba’s Sikh and Punjabi communities, thank you for everything you contribute to our province. Congratulations to everyone who came together to celebrate Nagar Kirtan. We are stronger together. We are #OneManitoba.

Wear your hair long 🪶 On this episode of Cool Indigenous Stuff, I had the honour of speaking with two incredible young hosts who bravely stepped up to share teachings about hair with other kids. By standing tall and telling positive stories about Indigenous culture other young people can feel proud about themselves and each other. For Anishinaabe people, long hair is a living connection to identity, culture, and ancestry. I’m grateful for young people like Winter and Brody, and proud on the work they are doing . 🪶🪶

We’re making Manitoba a leader in getting kids active. Our new K-12 health curriculum will ensure every kid does in-person gym class right to grade 12–no doctor’s notes. Instead, we’ll make gym more welcoming to every student. Every body. Every day. From K to 12. The curriculum also teaches about healthy eating, reading nutritional labels, sleep, mental health, and important facts about social media and AI. More movement. Better nutrition. Less screen time. When our kids are healthier our province is healthier.
