The mother of Ready to Wear! One of my favorite fashion books is Fashion Is Spinach by Elizabeth Hawes. Her belief that clothing should serve people, not trends, has had a huge impact on the way I approach design. It’s a reminder that the pieces we keep for years are rarely the ones that perfectly captured a moment in fashion. They’re the ones we return to again and again because they strike a balance between beauty and function. The pieces that make us feel like ourselves, wear in rather than wear out, and somehow get better with time.
