#WILLBYERS :: the struggle of who i am, i still find him hard to reach. to this day in time, i feel stuck in place:: like a statue of soft, delicate silk that holds a lot of warmth and yet the strain of it prickles at the back of my neck and right down my spine. a kind of feeling that i know, one that i tend to remember. in remembrance, of limerence— someday, i know it won’t feel as heavy. i question now, throughout all of my time that i have spent to grow:: mother, why do i still feel like this? why do i still feel, somehow… somewhat, different? and why does it eat me alive so silently, and i allow it to bite against the flesh of my skin till the core begins to bleed? why is it so painful— so quiet, yet so sufferable? i don’t think i asked for this, but i was given this and chose to let it burden me. i continue to wonder, why thus they all might worry for me as i continue to grow; but it was never about where i was headed, it was about the fact that it is my own fault of where i stand now, and that i have chosen to become still and stiff in the comfort of my own body, my mind racing miles, my bones cracking in seconds, the veins inside of my heart starting to pop and burst— i still struggle with who i am, for what i should be. since i was a little boy, he became farther to reach. to this day in time, i feel stuck in place:: mother, why must you have allowed me to be this way? though it was not your choice, but it was mine from the consequences of your sorrowed heart. and now all that i think of, all that i ever wished was what it would be like to finally fly; to finally, just die. the struggle of who i am, i still find him hard to reach— but when i think of death, suddenly all i felt was free.
