Steps Outlined below!: 1) Make your colored images black and white. There are multiple ways you can do this. Alpha Lock your layers and fill each with black. Or Outline your design elements in black like im doing. 2) save as JPEG 3) export into adobe capture 5) in adobe capture, open camera then select the black and white image from your camera roll 4) turn up “shapes” bar depending how detailed you want your vector image to be. I usually do max. 5) click the check mark and you have a vector 6)export the SVG file into affinity designer or whatever vector design software you use. 7) clean up your layers! #procreatehacks #affinitydesigner #vectortutorial

When I first decided I wanted to make money using my art, I did some research and learned about print on demand sites and surface pattern design, where your designs are used on every day products like shower curtains, bedding, towels, water, bottles, backpacks, etc. Keep reading for the steps I took: 1) i had to Learn procreate. I started on skillshare, watching @Cat Coquillette videos for print on demand and procreate. 2) @Liz Kohler Brown The Studio membership literally is a one stop shop for everything you need to know about making quality designs and posting on print on demand sites, including how to write good SEO, and how to format your design so they fit on multiple products. from learning procreate to vector design to designing greeting cards. 3) Lastly, @Mandy Corcoran- Pattern Design “procreate patterns, unleashed” course gave me all the tools I needed to make seamless repeating patterns. Floral pattern procreate illustration! My creative process starts with a blank procreate canvas. I have a library of reference images I’ve taken myself and use those as inspiration. These flowers are actually taken at the San Diego zoo! First I sketch to plan out the composition which takes the most time and thought. Mapping out the placement of petals, leaves, and details. Then, once I’m happy with the layout, we can move to the fun part of actually illustrating. I didn’t plan out the colors, I usually just wing it. I decided to pair down the colors and stick with the same blue green family for all the flowers.
