This is the one that started it all. We're about to make 14 Easy Ass recipes, and if I did not kick this series off with chicken cobbler, what am I even doing? The ovens preheat to 3:50. We're gonna put a stick of butter in a 9 by 13 baking dish and put it in the oven until the butter melts. While that butter melts, we're gonna mix two cups of whole milk with one box of Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix. Make sure you put the little seasoning packet in there, too. Okay? Our butters, like, mostly melted. It'll be fine. I got a few cups of cooked chicken here. Now, normally, I just use a whole rotisserie chicken shredded up for this dish, but five of the recipes in this casserole series use chicken. So I just put ton of it in the crock pot and let it cook down until I was able to shred it. Now we got a bag of frozen mixed vegetables. I am gonna hit my vegetables with just a little bit of salt and some pepper. You know what? Maybe a little garlic powder, too. I first posted this recipe in November of 2022, and back then, I was just getting started. I wasn't even really committed to be in a whole cooking channel yet. I messed up a few of the steps and I overcooked it, and I just posted it anyway. I called it chicken cobbler as a Joke at the suggestion of a friend of mine, cause I didn't think anybody was gonna see it anyway, so fuck it, why not? Hey, don't mix that. Just let that biscuit batter go where it wants to go. All right? Now, in the same measuring cup, you don't have to rinse it out. We're gonna put in two cups of chicken stock and one can of creamed chicken soup. That. That video ended up going viral. And then I made it again in may of 2023, and it got like 50 something million views. And after that one, Good Morning America called me and wanted me to make it for the show. And every time I get a Google Alert now, it's almost always something to do with chicken cobbler. Now, we're just gonna pour this over the top of everything, let it go where it wants to go. It's not a big deal. And I am still tagged multiple times a day in videos of people either making chicken cobbler or someone made it. And someone else is tagging me in the comments and saying, this is your barefoot neighbor's recipe. Chicken cobbler belongs to the Lord and the internet at this point, y'all, this is gonna go in the oven for about an hour ish. You might have to go a little bit longer. She is golden bubbly. See how it's still a little bit jiggly in the middle? That's okay. Just let it sit for about 10 or 15 minutes. Got those nice little golden biscuit pieces with that gravy. It's gonna be so good. That might be the best one I've ever made. Alright, 13 more days of easy casseroles coming up back to back. And if you've got a good go to casserole that you wanna show everyone, use the hashtag shared casserole on any social media platform. Alright, y'all come fix you a plate of this and I'll see you back here tomorrow for cottage pie.
