that’s why they pay me the big bucks #fitnessinstructor #lagreefitness #vancouverfitness #gay

As we celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Lagree West, I have taken some time this week to reflect on my journey with the company - the studio that started it all for me. I started my fitness instructor journey at Lagree West, and since then I have gone on to work for multiple other studios and have truly made a career for myself in the fitness industry in Vancouver. To say that Lagree West has changed my life would be an understatement. Because of Lagree West, I have had the privilege of teaching not only in Vancouver, but also in Germany and Mexico. Did you know, though, that I almost didn’t do it? I was terrified to take the leap into fitness. Growing up overweight and heavily bullied instilled a deep sense of impostor syndrome in me - I didn’t think I was worth it. I almost gave up on myself before I’d even started. Weeks after starting, I was in the washroom and overheard two individuals who had just taken my class say “he doesn’t even look like he does the workout”. I almost quit that day. Thank god I didn’t, because I wouldn’t have made the best friends of my life nor would I have realized where my true passion lies. Thank you to everyone who has been part of my journey since joining the Lagree West team in 2018. I love you all. #fitnessinstructor #lagreefitness #lagreewest #lagreeinstructor #transformation
