🧪QUICK TIP: Glowing Green Goo with subsurface and emission🧪 Using some basic lighting and an HDRI, then using a tiny bit of emissive lighting in a gloopy object, you can quickly give some slime a bit of a glowing radioactive effect. ‼️QUICK TIP: Inverted Bump Maps‼️ A lot of times when you bring in a surface imperfection map and plug it into a bump node, the scratches kr smudges appear to be protruding in the wrong direction. It’s a super quick fix though. You just need to drop in a ramp node and then invert it, this will change whether the bump is inset or protruding. Just depends on your needs. You can also def around the colors on the ramp to clamp down the amount of imperfection or bump on the surface. I usually drop on a ramp whether I need to invert or not, just to get that extra control. #c4d #madewithgsg #cinema4d #redshift #greyscalegorillastudio #greyscalegorillaplus

🎨QUICK TIP: Random fields and colors for clones!🎨 Did you know you can set up a shader that randomizes colors for cloned objects? Using fields and a couple of nodes you can have you duplicate objects automatically selecting from a spectrum of colors or specific colors (depending on how you set up your gradient ramp). QUICK TIP: When to avoid lighting with highly emissive materials! To speed up your render times and get overall cleaner renders, it makes sense to try and use actual lights instead of just blasting the emissive slider on the material. Lights are meant to do… well, lighting.
