AT THE END OF THE DAY, DEMOCRACY WON GUYS

DITO ISSO, LULA 13 ❤️⭐️🇧🇷 how often do you celebrate brazilian culture without understanding the struggles that shaped it? our music, carnaval, art, and identity were shaped by generations of resistance and the fight for freedom. with Brazil’s presidential election tomorrow, there’s so much at stake: the amazon, education, racial equity, LGBTQ+ rights, artistic freedom, and the future of our democracy. these decisions affect far more than just brazilians. my biggest concern is the concentration of political power and what it means for checks and balances. to brazilians living abroad, please think beyond your individual interests. wanting change is understandable, but change doesn’t always mean progress. we can disagree politically while still demanding accountability and protecting our democratic freedoms. do your research, think collectively, and remember: o voto é secreto. ❤️🇧🇷 please be kind in the comments we can agree to disagree. tchau tchau 💫 sources: reuters (2026), associated press (ap, 2026), deutsche welle (dw, 2026), human rights watch (2026), stanford university, consultor jurídico (2026), and additional reporting on brazil’s political history, military dictatorship, cultural resistance, environmental policy, human rights, congressional power, and democratic institutions. visuals @alabadaue

hihi miss you 💛

guys I have been dying with school work but this is important. Brasil’s presidential runoff is on October 25, and there’s a lot at stake for the future of its democracy. if you enjoy even 20% of the songs I share here, you already know how important this election is. culture and artistic freedom. quality public education. racial equity and access to higher education. LGBTQ+ rights. workers’ rights. the Amazon and our climate. politics touches so much of our everyday life. everything is political, including the music we listen to and dance to. most of my audience is outside Brasil, but I know there are plenty of Brazilians here, both abroad and back home. I shared this during the first round and have been reposting content from creators who are better equipped to speak on this. I wanted to bring it here too ahead of the runoff. if you’re eligible and registered to vote in Brasil or abroad, go vote ❤️⭐️ I’ll be keep reposting stuff from subject matters.
