ik interviews have been happening and are continuing to happen this weekend and after!!! so in an effort to get this video out pls ignore how ratchet i look HAHA also i said i shouldn’t be making this but that’s a joke and also i don’t care because getting into a club should be about capability NOT whether u knew a secret. not that the process is intentionally like that but it can DEF feel like it. im not doing any consulting interviews this recruitment cycle so 🤞🤞 but seriously you guys are so smart you’re going to be okay. club recruitment is NOT the end of the world. it’s more about the community than anything — plentyyy of people still land amazing internships, jobs, and have wonderful experiences without being in a club. i highly recommend trying for one because i think the process teaches you A LOT about yourself and how to recruit properly when it comes to that time!! but don’t put too much pressure on yourselves, everyone is on their own path and if we were all meant to do the same thing, life would be so boring!! psa i did not do half these things and everything still worked out amazing for me! but i also didnt know half of ts existed until it was too late to apply… so dont make the same mistake!! the way the job market is these days with recruitment cycles so early, the first two years of your college experience WILL feel like a rat race. back when our parents went to school, the first two years of your college were for having fun, and the last two years were for locking in. i feel like this day in age, it’s almost the reverse. your first two years are to help set you up for success, and your last two years are for really enjoying yourself after you put in the work! and i also wanna say that OF COURSE there is soooo much more to college and your experience than i mentioned in this video. your college years are for developing as a person, a friend, a leader, and so much more. as important as it is to apply to internships and jobs, it’s just as important to go to football games, make friends, get your heart broken, etc. so don’t read too much into this lol. again there are many many ways to skin the cat, these are just some things that i wish i had known about or involved myself in during my college experience! xoxo, jo ##uclabruins##collegeadvice##businesseconomics

time to get your pen and paper out for this one… i’m giving you guys GOLDDD here there is ZERO gate keeping so u better take my advice🥱🥱 this strategy of making a good first impression during info session is what i like to call the Round 0 Theory, and I can personally say I’ve tested it as an applicant and I’ve definitely fallen for it as a recruiter as well. obviously not guaranteeing anything but in my experience there are always a few people who stand out during info session at the very beginning, and are just well liked and pushed through to the end. if you can be one of those people, AND back it up with great technicals and experience, you are in GREAT SHAPE. as always lmk if u guys have more questions xx #ucla #businessclubs #consultingclub #recruitment
