Lash artists, STOP doing the banana peel method. 🚫🍌 If your clients’ natural lashes are snapping or splitting during grown out lash extension removal, your removal technique is the problem. The extension is stronger than the natural lash, so we need to stabilize the natural lash and ONLY pull the extension away. ✨ Bend the extension toward you to expose the natural lash tip. ✨ Hold the natural lash firmly against the pad with your fiber tip tweezer. ✨ Gently pull ONLY the extension away with your isolation tweezer. POP. HOW TO REMOVE GROWN OUT LASH EXTENSIONS 👀 One of my favorite ways to save time during a fill is to isolate, remove + replace as I work across the lash line. Here’s how I remove grown out extensions: 1. Isolate the natural lash and hold it firmly with your microfiber tweezer. 2. Grab the grown out extension with your placement tweezer. 3. Use a small circular motion to gently pop the extension off. 4. You’re already isolated, so make your new fan and place it right back on the natural lash. Remove. Replace. Your glue tray is a TOOL. Use it. 👏 When you’re making volume fans, don’t stay in the middle of the tray. Use the back or side walls to help push the bases together, close the fan base, and create a cleaner fan in seconds. Small changes in your technique can make you faster without sacrificing quality.
