Travel is no longer straightforward. There are so many things that you need to be aware of. E E S E T A petty ass. And it's hard to keep track of which one you need and how you need to apply for it. So I'm gonna go through it in this video. So make sure you save it and share it with anyone else that you know loves to travel. And if you don't follow me, my name is Kate. I run my own online travel business and like to share really clear, helpful, up to date travel news and advice along with all my own recommendations. So make sure you're following along and don't miss out on anything. So starting with the new entry exit system. So this was rolled out last October and the deadline for it to be in place is April 10th. And this is the new digital border control system that is going to be replacing that traditional method of stamping your passport. And it applies to all non EU citizens who are entering a country within the Schengen area. Now you will need to record your biometrics. So when you arrive in the airport, you will be asked to scan your four fingerprints. On your right hand side, you will have to do a scan of your face and you will also scan your passport. And this information is valid for three years. The important thing to remember, you register once, but you have To scan every single time you enter or exit a country in the Shengen zone. And that's where people are getting confused. Now, this doesn't require any pre registration. You do everything when you arrive.
