Replying to @The Audio Steward The Behringer XR18 is an amazing mixer, but it falls short when it comes to Matrix outputs, where we’d normally do a lot of our system adjustments. It also doesn’t give us a straightforward way to time-align different speaker zones. That’s where the DriveRack PA+…

DriveRack PA+ + Behringer XR18. Two pieces of gear most audio engineers know, but you rarely see them used together. So why would you put a DriveRack PA+ in a system built around an XR18? Hint: the DriveRack helps solve one of the XR18’s limitations. Would you use this combination? 👀 Follow-up…

Headroom is the currency of an audio engineer. 🎚️ Every decision you make either protects it or spends it. Gain staging, EQ, compression, bus processing and system routing all determine how much freedom you have when the moment gets loud. A clean LR, proper matrix management and intentional…

🎹 Please send your keyboards in stereo. 🙏 Excellence is rarely about having the most expensive gear. It’s about building a system that is reliable, repeatable, and serves the team every single week. Today we’re taking a look at @GhylainKeyz keyboard and Ableton setup at @victory45church . The…

🎙️ iPhone mic audio, but the preparation tells the story. When the week is prepared well, rehearsal flows differently. Gear serviced, songs familiar, loops and stems pre-mixed, band in sync with the leaders, room dialed in, and gain staging done right. Here’s a small sneak peek from last week’s…
