Roca was the fourth hop we built and the first on our new 75 acre property. We tucked it into a canyon between huge rock cliffs, which is how it got its name. Roca means “rock” in Spanish and nothing else felt right. Inside it’s eclectic and a little whimsical, perfect for a book or a board game. Out back, the suspended deck has a hot tub, grill, and outdoor shower overlooking the canyon, with a cave and waterfall just around the bend. Your fairytale cabin is waiting. Everyone needs a place to wind down from the noise. That is exactly why we designed these hops the way we did. If you are looking for that ultimate shift from noise to chill, we highly recommend checking out The OG’s rooftop patio. It’s one of those things you just don’t expect. You climb the spiral staircase and suddenly you’re above the trees and it feels like you left every single worry far, far away.

We tucked the Overlook right up against a cliff face at one of the highest points on the 75 acres. The living area and kitchen are on the second floor so the views are elevated: rolling hills, trees, sky. It's the kind of place where you pour a cup of coffee and just stand at the window for longer than you planned. Three bedrooms, hot tub, waterfall steps from the front door.

The Hygge has a sauna. We don't talk about it enough. Tucked into the covered spa enclosure outside alongside the hot tub, with views of a wooded ravine. After a long day of hiking Hocking Hills, there is no better place to end up. Come with your people. Leave feeling like a different version of yourself.

From a smurf-blue Ford Focus to building across the country. 🚙💨 When we started building The Box Hop, YouTube University was our instructor and we didn’t even own a pickup truck. Seth was literally loading 1,100 lbs of concrete bags into his compact car, distributing the weight evenly across the seats. (When we find the photos, we promise we’ll show you!) We had very little construction background. Today, people all over the country are reaching out to have us build one for them. Proof that you don’t need to know everything to start…you just have to start.

Most short term rentals look like Home Goods threw up in them (sorry, we said it!) Emily designs every single cabin from scratch: from the land it sits on to the feeling it’s supposed to give when you walk through the door. That’s why no two of our cabins are the same, and why staying at one doesn’t feel like staying at the others ✨

Life gets busy. Sometimes you need a place to slow down, be intentional. Spend time with people you love. We designed the hops to be an easy place to do that. Hop in. Hop out. Boom. That’s it. Focus on you and the people you love. Leave everything else to us…at least for your stay.

Emery wants to be a builder. He's out on the property with us all the time, watching, asking questions, getting his hands in it. Watching your kid want to carry something you built: that might be the best part of all of this.

Meet the Hygge. Inspired by the Danish idea of pure coziness, we built this one to feel like a warm hug right in the middle of the Hocking Hills woods.
