Adventyurr Park recap

Adventyurrrr park

So blessed I’d be greedy if I sneezed.

Passed every class except recess (they don’t play).

We up.

High school, college, grad school, jobs. Good luck to all of you starting something big. Especially the new Reds. Can’t wait to get after it with you in September.

Went to the most remote spot in Europe. Ate great food. Met great people. Got followed by dogs. Got followed by cows.

It all starts with The Vout.

The cows are in charge here fr.

About right.

Great convo with Logan Taylor. Check the link in the bio for the full vid.

Bro. If YOU are calling it busy work, what do you think the kids think of it? #studentengagement #homework #middleschool #newteacher

Hear me out: if we expect students to write authentically, without AI, we're hypocritical to grade them with AI. So here's what to do in stead. #homework #newteacher #studentengagement #belonginginschools #chatgpt4

If it doesn't matter to you, it won't matter to them. Give work that has a why behind it, and don't forget to explain that why. #homework #newteacher #studentengagement #belonginginschools #middleschool

Wait my whole life for this one. Even better than I thought it would be. #ynwa #thereds #liverpoolfc #anfield

I started speaking because I wanted to bring real tools from a teacher who's still in the classroom to my colleagues, stuff you can use tomorrow, not after a $10k training from someone who taught for six months in 2008. Here’s one that costs nothing and will flip your culture instantly: 👉 Anonymous surveys. You want kids to trust you? Show them you trust them. Let them give feedback without fear, then actually act on it. That’s how you build belonging, not by posters on the wall, but by giving their voices weight. #studentengagement #LanguageLearning #classroomculture #pd

I know—I keep walking in and out of the shot like I’m testing the fire exits. 🚪🔥
But here’s the point:
Too many teachers start the year with RULES.
Wrong move.
Start with TRUST. It’s the warm-up. The stretch before the workout.
Rules might get compliance.
Trust gets commitment. 👉 How are you stretching your classroom culture this year? Drop it below. #teachersoftiktok #middleschoolteacher #classroomculture #belongingintheclassroom #professionaldevelopment

Every September, we reopen schools in New York, and then we face the anniversary of 9/11. For us as adults, it’s not just history. It’s community. It’s belonging. For our students, most of whom weren’t even alive, it’s something that feels further away every year. Belonging isn’t built by skipping the hard stuff. It’s built by leaning into it together. 👉 Educators: how are you bridging that gap for your students? Drop your ideas below: let’s build the playbook our kids deserve. #teachersoftiktok #middleschoolteacher #classroomculture #september11
