Unbelievable, these are sewing machine hacks from my 98-year-old grandma. Stick an old needle into the presser foot to gather fabric easily at home. Tape a bottle cap beside the presser foot for accurate curved stitching without veering off track. Make your own batting presser foot with thick fabric and elastic, sewing batting smoothly without jamming or breaking needles. Clamp the bobbin case with a magnet next to the presser foot to hold fabric edges, great for pant waist and hem finishing. Stick an old phone charger adapter near the presser foot to sew lace on dress hems quickly and neatly. Fold cardboard and attach it beside the presser foot. Fold fabric along creases to roll hems at any width you want. Great sewing tricks for sewing lovers. Unbelievable! These are my 98 year old grandma sewing machine hacks. 1. Take an old sewing machine needle, insert it into the gap next to the presser foot, and you can easily create gathers right at home. 2. Grab a small bottle cap, put some double sided tape on it, stick it next to the presser foot. Now you can use it as a stitching guide for rounded corners, curves, wide turns, and tight turns going uphill or downhill. Your stitching stays perfectly aligned without drifting off track. 3. Make your own presser foot for sewing batting. Still frustrated with breaking needles when sewing batting, grab a piece of thick fabric, fold it to the width of the presser foot, then get a piece of elastic. Sew both ends of the elastic onto the fabric. Leave the section around the presser foot unsewn, trim off the excess, then slide the fabric over the presser foot. Now the batting feeds through smoothly without getting stuck. 4. Now use a magnet to hold the bobbin case. Like this place it next to the presser foot when sewing pant waistbands or rolled cuffs. It holds the fabric edge in place so it won't drift off, and your stitching stays perfectly aligned from start to finish. 5. Take an old phone charger block, put some double sided tape on it, stick it next to the presser foot. Offset the lace up and down like this. Now you can sew lace onto a skirt hem Fast and perfectly even. These are must know tricks for any tailor. 6. Take a piece of cardboard and fold it downward, then fold it back and forth, stick it next to the presser foot, place the fabric underneath, fold it twice along the creases, and just like that you can easily make a rolled hem. Make it as wide as you want. Have you Learned all these little tricks
