14 days of Sküt art creation in 30 sec. 👨🏻‍🎨🎨💥 Rewilding Weho, massively muraled painted panels celebrating native California wildlife, installed at the old French Market along Route 66 in West Hollywood. Started with a sketch, refined on iPad, aligned in Illustrator, paper taped and sliced, stencil pencil maps, latex and acrylic pigments, mars black outline elevation, juicy freeform highlights, just a little whimsy, and made with love. 🫦 Be the vibe 🤙♥️ xoxo Sküt #muralart #wildlifeartist #california #route66 #losangelesart

💀🌊🌿🔥☁️🎨 West Hollywood artist Sküt unveiled a new mural at Skybar in the @Mondrian Hotels Los Angeles on the Historic Sunset Strip to celebrate spooky season and beyond. The design “Calavera Elementos” depicts four graphic skulls adorned with illustrated interpretations of the classic alchemical Zodiac elements (Water, Earth, Fire, Air). “Mondrian asked me to bring life and vibes to this space,” says Sküt. “I’m obsessed with skulls and wanted to create something timely for Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos, but also timeless in a broad context of culture and art. Skulls are an interesting subject for artistic interpretation. We all have a skull; I love that commonality.” Robert Nichols, Director of Sales at Mondrian, adds “We’re thrilled to expand our partnership with Sküt and this vibrant new mural. His creative vision and professional execution align with our efforts to elevate art and celebrate community at Mondrian here in West Hollywood.” Calavera Elementos sits across from Sküt’s other mural, Happiness (2023) which is a crescendo of eight rainbow-colored hearts. Both murals can be seen and photographed in the valet walkway entrance into Skybar.

Calavera Elementos 💀🌊🌿🔥☁️ Knocked this out in a week! New Sküt mural art at Skybar West Hollywood for spooky season and beyond 🎨🖌️ Huge thanks to @Mondrian Hotels for believing in me and our continued collaborative partnership in Los Angeles. Come check it out. What's your element? 👀

🌈😌 TLDR condensed vibe loop art installation. More below… ✨💖 A safe space to focus, ponder, and revel in this condensed selection of meditative Pride vibes from the Gilbert Eight projection loop I created for “EPTOQ” an immersive art installation at @Circus Of Books in West Hollywood. The “Experimental Prototype Temple Of Queer” experience included eight glowing obelisks, in synchronized rotation, that symbolized Gilbert Baker’s aspirational qualities of the original eight-color 1978 Rainbow Flag, as commissioned by Harvey Milk in San Francisco. Above the obelisks hovered a suspended isosceles prism, painted with a fluorescent gradient of colors, that came alive with an independent projection map. Set to an original soundtrack, and created using off the shelf solutions, this animation is a condensed selection that took visitors on a journey through Gilbert’s Eight qualities (Pink Sex, Red Life, Orange Healing, Yellow Sunlight, Green Nature, Turquoise Magic, Indigo Serenity, Violet Spirit) that ultimately coalesced into a pulsing heart of LOVE. The self contained room was a walkthrough art temple of design, sculpture, light, and sound. This installation was the sensory centerpiece, looping every fifteen minutes for Pride season in the heart of West Hollywood. 🧾 For fellow artists, geeks, and curious… my recipe includes: Photoshop, Illustrator, Pixelmator Pro, Mosh, Endel, Final Cut, Logic, Lightform, CapCut, and a grip of iOS apps and visualizers that I used to record, sculpt, edit, and polish the assets for the final video/audio loop that you see here. 🕯️🦋 Had a chat with my sis @Kylie Shea, she offered words and life perspective that I needed in the moment, and took to heart. So now I’m writing out this message, makin a lil #art as I soak it up, repeating to myself, insomuch that you might need it right now too. Protect your light, but don’t hoard it. Share it. You never know who you might touch in just the right moment before it’s gone. Don’t fear, ever feel. Downs are just as important as your ups. Nurture souls in your orbit who add and inspire and push you, and bring you joy. Evolve. Be curious. Learn. Listen. Live. Laugh. #Love. In this moment. You are right where you need to be. XOXO 😗♥️

Amid the #vegas hustle & bustle there’s a tranquil little place at Mandalay Bay called #SharkReef #aquarium 🦈👀😊🎨🐠 I’ve been going here for years to support this #AZA accredited facility and its animal ambassadors. I usually sit in the shipwreck #shark exhibit with my iPad to find balance & peace while I create #art watching these amazing creatures swim & thrive & liaise with us human spectators. Kudos @mgmresortsintl #lasvegas for maintaining a world class conservation & education destination & perfect #artist refuge. 🥰🌎💯💙💚 thx @krlewlen for capturing a moment of bliss. 😌🫧🩵
